Kingfisher Police Department investigations reported
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
July 6 - Public intoxication.
Officer Charles Trout responded to a report of an individual lying in the roadway in the area of 10th Street and West Broadway Avenue.
Trout said in his report that he and Officer Aaron Schlegel assisted the 44-year-old male to the curb, allowing traffic to resume in both directions on Broadway Avenue.
According to the report, the suspect appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication and admitted to drinking alcohol as well as stepping off the curb and falling into the street.
The suspect was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher to receive a medical evaluation and clearance for incarceration.
Upon receiving a medical release, the suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
July 9 - Violation of safety zone.
According to the report, Officer Aaron Schlegel observed a known male and unidentified female near the pond under construction in the Newfield Community Park, near West Robberts Avenue and North Ninth Street.
Schlegel said in his report the 38-year-old male suspect is a convicted sex offender and is banned from being within 500 feet of a park.
Schlegel made contact with the suspect regarding his illegal presence in the park as a sex offender, the report said.
Schlegel said in his report that he would be requesting an arrest warrant for the suspect.
July 9 - Domestic abuse assault and battery and kidnapping.
Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of a domestic altercation in the 400 block of South Seventh Street.
Officer Matthew Hollon assisted with the investigation.
July 10 - Domestic assault and battery/abuse.
Officer Christopher McDaniel said in his report that he was on patrol in the area of U.S. 81 and Miles Avenue and observed a northbound vehicle failing to maintain its lane as well as a passenger door briefly open.
McDaniel initiated a traffic stop and made contact with a male driver and female passenger, the report said.
The occupants reportedly stated an altercation had occurred while the vehicle was in motion which resulted in the traffic violation.
Officer Tyler Girten assisted with the investigation.
July 12 - Warrant, failure to stop at stop sign, improper turn, possession of dangerous drugs prohibited, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of contraband by inmate.
Officer Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he observed a vehicle fail to make a stop at a stop sign at the Fay Avenue and U.S. 81 intersection.
According to the report, the vehicle then proceeded northbound and made in improper right turn.
Schlegel initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the 42-year-old male driver.
While issuing a citation for the failure to stop at a stop sign and a warning for the improper right turn, dispatch advised the officer that the driver had an outstanding warrant in Garfield County, the report said.
Schlegel placed the suspect under arrest for the warrant and performed an inventory of the vehicle for impound.
According to the report, Schlegel discovered packages of new syringes, a wrapper containing a white crystalline substance and three “loaded” syringes.
The suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center and upon search for incarceration, another clear baggie containing a white crystal-like substance was discovered in the suspect’s wallet, the report said.
Samples from both baggies tested positive for methamphetamine, according to the report.
The suspect was ad ditionally charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of contraband by inmate.

July 14 - Trafficking in illegal drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, expired license plates, no insurance, altering license plate/decal and acquire proceeds from drug activity.
Officer Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he observed a vehicle in the area of Erwin Avenue and U.S. 81 that displayed a license plate decal which dispatch indicated belonged to another vehicle.
According to the report, the 63-year-old female driver stated she didn’t have insurance and had allegedly purchased the truck recently, but did not have any documentation in the vehicle.
The suspect had in her possession a bank bag with multiple bank envelopes containing a total of $10,041.53 in cash and, upon questioning by Schlegel, admitted to the presence of methamphetamine in the vehicle, according to the report.
Schlegel said in his report that upon searching the vehicle, officers located a bag containing two smaller bags with white crystal-like substance (which tested positive for methamphetamine), a glass meth pipe and lighter.
The suspect was placed under arrest for trafficking in illegal drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, expired license plates, no insurance, altering license plate/decal and acquired proceeds from drug activity.
The vehicle was impounded, the money confiscated and drugs and drug paraphernalia seized, according to the report.
The suspect’s phone was also seized pending a search warrant, the report said.
The total weight of methamphetamine seized was approximately 40.2 grams which met the threshold to be considered drug trafficking, according to the report.
