Kingfisher Police Department officers investigating multiple reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
January 5 - Malicious injury to property-over $1,000, burglary-second degree and trespass.
Officer Charles Trout responded to a report of theft and property damage at Payless Inns, 2300 S. Frontage Road.
According to the report, one of the motel room doors was broken into and a purse and phone were taken from the room.
Trout reviewed video surveillance footage of the incident and a known suspect was observed entering the room, the report said.
The purse and phone were valued at $400 and $1,000 of damage to the door and door jamb was reported.
January 7 - Warrant, unlawful possession of paraphernalia, driving with license canceled/suspended/revoked and possession of controlled substance.
Officer Christopher McDaniel assisted Officer Tyler Girten with a traffic stop of a vehicle on U.S. 81 for an expired tag.
According to the report, the 53-year-old female driver was determined to be driving with a revoked license and placed under arrest.
A 43-year-old female passenger was also arrested for an outstanding warrant in Garfield County, the report said.
Officers performed an inventory of the vehicle for impound and located several items in two backpacks including muscle relaxer medication without a prescription, vape pen parts, a glass pipe containing white crystal substance, a pen with white powdery residue and a debit card belonging to an unknown individual, according to the report. A field test was performed on the glass pipe and pen, which produced positive results for methamphetamine, the report said.
Additional charges included unlawful possession of paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance, according to the report.
January 10 - Driving with license canceled/suspended/revoked.
Officer Tyler Girten observed a 2018 Toyota Camry make an improper turn from Hill Drive onto U.S. 81 and initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle.
According to the report, the 40-year-old male driver was driving without a valid driver’s license.
The suspect was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center, the report said.
Girten made contact with the owner of the vehicle and it was released, according to the report.
