The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

June 23 - Possession of controlled substance, unlawful possession of firearm by felon, maintaining place for keeping/selling controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to the report, Officers Tyler Girten, Chris McDaniel and Sgt. Charles Trout obtained evidence of drug activity from a trash cart in the 1100 block of South Eighth Street.

Girten said in his report that officers discovered several pieces of mail addressed to the residents, broken pieces of a glass smoking pipe with crystalline residue, six pieces of cut straws with crystalline residue and a suspected firearm trigger and gun grip.

One of the cut straws was tested for the presence of illicit drugs and produced a positive result for methamphetamine, the report said. Officers took photographs of the evidence and the broken smoking pipe and cut straws were submitted to OSBI for further testing.

Three suspects arrested included a 50-year-old female, 30-year old male and 28-year old male.

Other evidence obtained at the scene was a homemade pen pipe, box containing paraphernalia, pair of wooden pistol grips, small scale, plastic bag with residue, large scale, several glass pipes and pill bottle with kit inside, according to the report.

June 25 - Speeding (10-14 over), no driver’s license, possession of dangerous drugs prohibited, possession of dangerous drugs prohibited-marijuana, unlawful possession of paraphernalia, and warrant.

Officer Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle for excessive speed on U.S. 81 near the intersection of Robberts Avenue.

According to the report, the driver did not have a driver’s license or insurance verification and, when questioned, admitted to having local warrants.

Schlegel said in his report that while searching the driver he discovered a knife, a container with a baggie containing white crystalline residue, three cut straws and a glass pipe.

According to the report, Schlegel questioned the two passengers in the vehicle and, upon searching the male passenger, the officer discovered a container of marijuana on his person. Schlegel also located the passenger’s wallet which contained his driver’s license and a medical marijuana card, the report said.

Upon searching the vehicle, Schlegel said in his report that he discovered multiple containers of marijuana.

Schlegel placed the 38-year-old male driver under arrest for 11-14 over maximum speed limit, operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as five local warrants and he was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

The green leafy substance field tested positive for marijuana and the white crystal substance tested positive for methamphetamine, according to the report.

Schlegel weighed and took photographs of the evidence and the bag containing methamphetamine was sent to the OSBI for further testing, the report said.
