Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

July 19 - Larceny-auto, aircraft or other motor vehicle, burglary-second degree (auto), and receive cash/property with stolen credit card.

Officer Tyler Girten responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on Meadowlark Drive.

Whitney Mathes reportedly stated that her 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe was stolen from her driveway between 1:30 and 4 a.m.

According to the report, items in the vehicle includ ed a credit card, checkbook, children’s school clothes and shoes, a baseball bat, booster seat and car seat, as well as a purse containing her driver’s license, Social Security card, health insurance card and childrens’ birth certificates.

Mathes said she received a notification from her bank at 4:30 a.m. indicating online transactions had been made to Dick’s Sporting Goods and Academy, the report said.

Transactions were also made at Walgreens and 7-Eleven in Yukon, according to the report. Girten contacted Walgreens and 7-Eleven to obtain surveillance footage of the transactions.

Girten said in his report the vehicle was located on West Mitchell Drive at approximately 11 a.m. The vehicle was dusted for fingerprints and photos were taken, according to the report. Items in the vehicle were

Items in the vehicle were valued at over $1,600.

July 20 - Driving with license canceled/ suspended/revoked, no insurance and possession of dangerous drugs prohibited.

Officer Aaron Schlegel said in his report that while he was on patrol on U.S. 81, he observed a vehicle with a defective third brake light that was suspected to be involved in local burglaries.

According to the report, Schlegel initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle at Payless Inn, in the area of Frontage Road and Coronado Drive and made contact with the 32-year-old male driver.

The driver was unable to provide current insurance verification and dispatch advised officers that the suspect’s driver’s license was suspended, the report said.

Officers questioned the driver regarding a possible suspect involved in the burglaries and he identified the individual and indicated the suspect had borrowed his vehicle several times recently, according to the report. The driver was placed

The driver was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle while driver’s license is suspended and received a warning for the defective brake light and citation for operating a motor vehicle while driver’s license is suspended and failure to comply with compulsory insurance.

Officers performed an inventory of the vehicle and discovered a baggy containing a white crystal substance which produced a positive result for methamphetamine upon testing, the report said.

The suspect was also charged with possession of dangerous drugs prohibited.

A Bank of America card belonging to another individual was also found in the vehicle and seized as possible evidence.

Sgt. Justin Trumbley and Officer Jason East assisted with the investigation.

July 21 - Burglary-second degree (auto).

Officer Travis Gray took a report of theft in the 800 block of South 11th Street.

According to the report, Dillion George stated that a shotgun had been taken from his vehicle and the reported value was $500.

Gray entered the firearm identification into the National Crime Information Center.
