Kingfisher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
December 11 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.
Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
A Walmart employee reportedly stated two female suspects took merchandise from the store and then attempted to return the stolen merchandise for a refund.
According to the report, when Walmart associates refused to issue a refund to the suspects, one of them said they would return it at the Walmart in El Reno.
Hollon said in his report that he was advised the two suspects had been apprehended at the Walmart in El Reno and were charged with receiving/concealing stolen property in Canadian County.
According to the report, on Dec. 11, Hollon viewed the security footage of the incident at Walmart in Kingfisher and observed the two suspects collect items from the infant aisle and then attempt to return them for a refund at customer service.
The items taken were a projector/nightlight, double electric pump, three infant slumbers and a health/ grooming kit with total reported value of $290.44.
December 17 - Criminal trespass.
Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of a suspect trespassing at Payless Inn, 2300 Frontage Road.
According to the report, the owner stated the 43-year-old male suspect had previously been informed that he was no longer allowed on the property and was trespassing.
Conner said in his report that he made contact with the suspect.
Officer Aaron Schlegel assisted with the investigation.
December 17 - Grand larceny.
Officer Jeffrey Robbins responded to a report of theft in the 1200 block of South 10th Street.
Jeffrey Rempe reportedly stated his 2020 Rockin’ S 22x83 car hauler trailer had been stolen from his driveway and there was footage of the incident on his Ring doorbell.
Robbins viewed the surveillance footage and entered the trailer’s identifying information into the National Crime Information Center, the report said.
December 22 - Driving with license canceled/ suspended/revoked and expired license plate.
Officer Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he observed a vehicle on U.S. 81 with an expired tag and initiated a traffic stop.
According to the report, the 41-year-old female driver was driving with a revoked driver’s license. A male passenger was also determined to have a suspended driver’s license, the report said.
The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while driver’s license is revoked and for operating a motor vehicle on which all taxes due state have not been paid.
Officers conducted an inventory of the vehicle and it was impounded, the report said.
