Kingfisher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
March 24 - Malicious injury/destruction of property. Officer Dustin Brodrick took a report of property damage in the 100 block of North Main Street.
Barry Fletcher reportedly stated he discovered the driver’s side mirror on his Dodge Ram had been damaged while parked on the east side of North Main Street.
According to the report, he suspected the damage was caused by a wide load after locating a red flag near his vehicle.
Brodrick said in his report that he had not located any surveillance cameras that documented the incident and he took photos of the damaged mirror.
March 21 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.
Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
According to the report, a 31-year-old male suspect entered the store without any merchandise in hand and removed two fans from the store shelf. He then proceeded to the customer service desk where he produced a receipt and was allowed to make an exchange between the two fans, the report said.
Hollon said in his report that he reviewed the surveillance video and observed the incident.
According to the report, the suspect was identified and contacted about the incident. The suspect then attempted to pay for the merchandise, but Walmart representatives indicated charges would still be filed and the suspect was trespassed from the property, the report said.
The reported value of the merchandise was $53.82.
March 28 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.
Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
According to the report, a Walmart representative said an individual entered the store on March 25, placed multiple items in his shopping cart and left without paying for the merchandise.
Items which were reported as stolen were: a 48 pound bag of dog food, Gateway laptop computer, pair of house slippers and a memory foam bed topper with a total value of $316.98.
The 38-year-old male suspect was identified and officers made contact with the suspect and recovered the slippers and laptop, the report said.
Officer Ryan Gibson assisted with the investigation.
March 30 - Larceny-auto, aircraft or other motor vehicle.
Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at 701 S. Main St.
Angelica Clark reportedly stated a vehicle containing three chainsaws, belonging to her and husband had recently been stolen by a known 27-year-old male suspect.
According to the report, the couple had been in contact with the individual attempting to get the vehicle returned, but were unsuccessful.
Clark later made contact with Schlegel stating the vehicle was allegedly at an address in Okarche, the report said.
An Okarche police officer located the vehicle at the address, but the suspect was not present, according to the report.
The vehicle and chainsaws were returned to the Clarks and Schlegel stated that he planned to seek an arrest warrant against the suspect for larceny of an automobile, the report said.
March 31 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.
Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
According to the report, an identified 23-year-old male paid for several items at the self-checkout, but failed pay for a swimming pool and exited the store with the items.
Hollon said in his report that he made contact with the suspect at his residence, where he witnessed the swimming pool, and informed the suspect he needed return the pool or pay for it.
The suspect returned to Walmart and paid for the pool as well as signed documents agreeing to being trespassed from the property, the report said.
April 3 - Malicious injury/destruction of property.
Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of property damage in the 1500 block of South Seventh Street.
According to the report, Roger Blackerby informed Conner the apartment mailboxes had been damaged.
Conner took photographs of the damage, the report said.
