Kingfisher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
March 28 - Theft.
Officer Matthew Hollon took a report from Raymond McDonald regarding theft and an online scam.
McDonald reportedly stated he made contact with an individual allegedly selling bobwhite quail and eggs on Facebook and sent $155 for 25 birds through Cash App.
According to the report, McDonald began to suspect it was a scam and requested the money back, but the individual claimed he did not receive the payment.
Hollon said in his report that he attempted to make contact with the suspect, but a phone number associated with the account was determined to be a nonworking number.
April 4 - DUI-liquor or drugs and leaving the scene of accident involving damage.
Officer Christopher McDaniel responded to a report of a vehicle accident in the parking lot of Walmart, 200 Starlite Drive.
According to the report, a GMC Yukon had struck a Dodge truck and witnesses said the driver left on foot and gave McDaniel a description of the suspect.
McDaniel said in his report that the 57-year-old male driver was located lying in the grass in the center median of U.S. 81 near the intersection of Starlite Drive.
The suspect exhibited signs of intoxication and was placed under arrest and transported to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher where a blood sample was obtained for testing, the report said. The suspect was then transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
Officers performed an inventory of the vehicle, which was then towed, according to the report.
Sergeant Charles Trout and Officer Brandon Chapman assisted with the investigation.
April 9 - Public intoxication.
Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of a suspected intoxicated individual in the area of West Bowman Avenue and South Seventh Street.
Conner said in his report that he observed the male suspect matching the description in the 100 block of West Locust Avenue and made contact with him.
According to the report, the known 27-year-old male suspect appeared to show signs of intoxication, was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to jail.
April 12 - Leaving the scene of accident involving damage.
Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of a “hit and run” at Double D’s convenience store, 701 N. Main Street. Danita Duffy reportedly stated her vehicle had incurred damage between 9 a.m. and 4:15 p.m.
Schlegel said in his report that he observed a large dent in the rear driver’s side as well as white paint transfer on the vehicle. He took photographs of the damage and contacted the owner of a nearby business to provide surveillance footage in the area.
