Kingfisher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
October 25 - Driving with license canceled/ suspended/revoked.
Officer Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he observed a vehicle in the area of U.S. 81 and Seay Avenue with a defective driver’s side brake light and third brake light.
According to the report, Schlegel initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the 42-year-old female driver who was driving with a suspended driver’s license.
The driver was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle while driver’s license is suspended, issued a warning for the defective equipment and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
Officers performed an inventory of the vehicle and it was impounded, the report said.
Sergeant Charles Trout assisted with the investigation.
October 25 - Criminal trespass and arson.
Officer Kyle Svoboda responded to a report of vandalism in the 300 block of South Ninth Street.
According to the report, neighbors Brandon Pope and Daniel Guerrero stated they had been having issues with individuals in the residence between their houses.
Pope reportedly stated an individual had thrown a piece of burning trash over the fence into his backyard.
Svoboda observed a burnt item in Pope’s backyard and took photographs of the scene, the report said. Officer Charles Trout assisted with the investigation.
October 26 - Obtain money/property with false negotiable paper.
Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of counterfeit money at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
According to the report, a Walmart asset protection investigator said an unknown male used a counterfeit $100 bill to purchase $33.57 of merchandise and received $66.43 in change.
October 29 - Driving with license canceled/ suspended/revoked.
Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel said in his report that he observed a northbound vehicle on U.S. 81 near Overstreet Avenue with an inoperable tag light and initiated a traffic stop.
According to the report, the 28-year-old male driver was driving with a revoked driver’s license.
The suspect was placed under arrest for driving with a revoked license and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
November 1 - Possession of controlled substance, unlawful possession of paraphernalia and driving while impaired.
Officer Kyle Svoboda responded to a report of a reckless driver on U.S. 81.
Svoboda said in his report that he located the vehicle and observed it make multiple lane changes using improper turn signals and he initiated a traffic stop in the area of Victory Lane.
According to the report, the 49-year-old female driver appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication and a field sobriety test was performed.
As Svoboda attempted to take the suspect into custody, he located a glass smoking pipe containing residue (which tested positive for methamphetamine) in the suspect’s hand, the report said.
According to the report, the suspect was transported to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher to conduct a blood test.
The suspect was then transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center and charged with driving while impaired, possession of paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.
Sergeant Charles Trout assisted with the investigation and performed an inventory of the vehicle.
