Kingfisher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of theft of gasoline at Stop N Go, 1005 S. Main St.
According to the report, an individual pumped $50.63 worth of fuel into a vehicle and left northbound on U.S. 81 without paying.
Schlegel said in his report that he attempted to locate the vehicle, but was unsuccessful.
February 1 - Domestic abuse assault and battery.
Officer Derek Grassman responded to a report of an altercation in the 200 block of South Eighth Street.
Sergeant Justin Trumbley and Officer Justin Conner assisted with the investigation.
February 1 - Speeding (15 to 19 over) and driving under the influence.
Officer Jarred Tech responded to a report of a vehicle northbound on U.S. 81 “with red and blue lights and swerving all over the road.”
Tech said in his report he initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle in the area of 1801 S. Main St.
According to the report, the 25-year-old male driver appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication and field sobriety tests were performed.
The suspect was placed under arrest for the suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant and speeding in excess of 15-19 mph over the limit and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
Officers performed an inventory of the vehicle, a white Crown Victoria, and discovered “a switch in the interior of the car that activated the red and blue flashing lights” as well as a fugitive recovery agent badge in the center console, according to the report.
The vehicle was then impounded, the report said.
Officers made contact with the reporting party, who stated she encountered the suspect’s vehicle with its red and blue lights flashing and swerving through lanes south of Okarche, the report said.
Sergeant Charles Trout and Officer Kyle Svoboda assisted with the investigation.
