Kingfisher Police Department reports

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

February 18 - Public Intoxication.

Officer Christopher McDaniel responded to a report of an unwanted individual in the 600 block of South Third Street.

According to the report, a 41-year-old male suspect was causing a disturbance at a neighboring property and appeared to be intoxicated.

The suspect was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

Officer Matthew Hollon assisted with the investigation.

February 19 - DUI-liquor or drugs, speeding and transporting intoxicating beverage or lowpoint beer.

Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel said in his report that he observed a southbound vehicle on U.S. 81 traveling at a speed in excess of the posted limit and initiated a traffic stop.

According to the report, the 38-year-old male driver appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication and refused to comply with the officer’s commands to exit the vehicle multiple times.

McDaniel said in his report that, after he opened the vehicle door and took control of the suspect’s wrist, the suspect complied with his request and exited the vehicle.

Field sobriety tests were performed on the suspect and he was placed under arrest for DUI, speeding and transporting intoxicating beverage, according to the report.

Officer Kyle Svoboda performed an inventory of the vehicle and located a half-full can of beer in the console, the report said.

The vehicle was impounded.

Deputy Charles Blackburn assisted with the investigation.

February 20 - Driving with license canceled/ suspended/revoked.

Sergeant Charles Trout said in his report that he observed a vehicle with an inoperable headlamp traveling northbound on U.S. 81 and initiated a traffic stop.

According to the report, the 43-year-old female driver was driving with a suspended license and had an active warrant in Canadian County.

Trout issued the suspect a warning for the inoperable headlamp and a citation for driving without a driver’s license.

The suspect was placed under arrest for the outstanding warrant and driving without a valid driver’s license.

Officers Matthew Hollon and Derek Grassman performed an inventory of the vehicle and it was impounded, the report said.

February 27 - Harassment and malicious injury/destruction of property.

Officer Jarred Tech responded to a report of a disturbance in the 200 block of North Sixth Street.

February 28 - Planning or threatening violent act.

Officer Kyle Svoboda responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of South Sixth Street.

Sergeant Charles Trout and Officer Derek Grassman assisted with the investigation.

March 1 - Defective equipment, no insurance, expired license plates and driving with license canceled/suspended/ revoked.

Officer Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he observed a southbound vehicle on U.S. 81 with an altered paper tag and a defective driver side brake light.

According to the report, the 26-year-old male driver was driving without a valid driver’s license or insurance verification.

The suspect was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle while driver’s license is suspended and issued district citations for failure to comply with compulsory insurance law, operating a motor vehicle on which all taxes due the state have not been paid, defective equipment and operating a motor vehicle while driver’s license is suspended.

The suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

Two male passengers were released and the vehi- cle was inventoried and impounded, the report said. Captain Travis Gray assisted with the investigation.

March 1 - Unauthorized use of credit/debit card.

Officer Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he took a report from a 26-yearold female regarding unauthorized use of her debit card by a known individual.

March 1 - Malicious injury/ destruction of property and enter structure with certain intent-break and enter.

Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of a possible burglary in the 800 block of Aspen Drive.

According to the report, the property manager stated “the back window had been broken and it looked someone had been staying inside the (vacant) residence.”

The manager said she noticed the electric bill for the last month was up and then discovered the broken window and someone’s belongings inside the property, according to the report.

Schlegel said in his report that he took photos of the broken window and damaged window blind.

The total reported damage was $500 (which did not include the electric bill and possible damage to carpet).

Captain Travis Gray assisted with the investigation.

March 5 - Domestic assault and battery/abuse.

Officer Justin Conner took a report of a domestic assault in the 100 block of West Don Blanding.
