Kingfisher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports: April 15 - Burglary- second degree.
Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel responded to a report of theft at Payless Inn, 2300 Frontage Road.
According to the report, Andres Juarez stated he was staying at the hotel and had left a Nintendo Switch game console on the bed in his room and it was missing when he returned.
Juarez reportedly contacted hotel management regarding the alleged theft and surveillance footage was reviewed in which two housekeeping employees were observed entering and exiting the room on the two days in question.
McDaniel said in his report that he made contact with hotel management as well as one of the housekeeping employees, who was being held in the county jail on unrelated charges, and attempted to contact the other at her residence, but was unsuccessful.
According to the report, McDaniel reviewed the surveillance footage and observed the two housekeeping staff “entering the rooms together, and both enter room (of reporting party), with neither coming out with what appears to be a Nintendo Switch or capable of holding a Nintendo Switch.”
The reported value of the game console was $359.99 and it was entered into the National Crime Information Center as stolen, the report said.
April 21 - Domestic assault and battery/abuse second offense and kidnapping.
Officer Aaron Schlegel took a report of a domestic altercation in the 200 block of East Toronto Avenue.
Officer Matthew Hollon assisted with the investigation.
April 21 - Driving with license canceled/ suspended/revoked.
Officer Matthew Hollon said in his report that he observed a vehicle on East Bowman Avenue “with a large amount of smoke coming from the exhaust” and he initiated a traffic stop.
According to the report, the 45-year-old female driver was driving with a suspended license and without valid insurance.
Hollon placed the suspect under arrest for driving with a suspended license.
While performing an inventory of the vehicle for impound, officers located a pre-rolled marijuana cigarette container containing a green leafy-like substance (which field tested positive for marijuana), the report said.
Hollon said in his report that he also discovered a male individual concealed under clothing in the back seat during inventory.
The individual stated “he was hiding because he thought he had warrants,” but dispatch advised officers that the suspect was clear of warrants, according to the report. (It was later confi rmed the suspect did have an active warrant and was arrested later that day, the report said.)
The female driver was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center and charged with driving while license is canceled, suspended or revoked and issued three additional district citations for failure to comply with compulsory insurance law, operating a motor vehicle with defective/ missing equipment and unlawful possession of marijuana.

April 22 - Malicious injury/destruction of property and protective order violation.
Officer Kyle Svoboda took a report of vandalism in the 200 block of South Fifth Street.
According to the report, the resident stated a window at his residence had been broken when someone (whom he identified as a suspect) had thrown a beer bottle through it.
Svoboda said in his report that he took photographs of the broken window and seized the bottle as evidence.
The officer also made contact with the suspect, who then alleged the reporting party had violated a protective order as well, the report said.
April 22 - Warrant, domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and transporting an open container-liquor.
Officer Derek Grassman responded to a report of a domestic altercation in the 200 block of South Main Street.
Officers Jarrod Tech and Christopher McDaniel assisted with the investigation.
April 23 - Complaint.
Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel responded to a report of property damage in the 1000 block of South Main Street.
Mike Sanders reportedly stated a rental vehicle located at his residence sustained a broken rear driver side window during the overnight hours.
April 23 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.
Officer Kyle Svoboda responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
According to the report, an asset protection employee stated that he observed a male customer in the self-checkout bagging several items without scanning them and gave him the opportunity to rescan the items at another register.
The 19-year-old male then proceeded to attempt to bag items without paying for them again, the report said.
The suspect was placed under arrest for larceny of merchandise from a retailer and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
The reported value of the items was $135.89.
Thesuspectwasalsotrespassed from any Walmart property, according to the report.
