Kingfisher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
April 24 - Obstructing officer, assault and battery and resisting executive officer.
Lieutenant Dustin Brodrick responded to a report of assault at Trail Creek Wellness, 1000 Hospital Circle.
According to the report, a female employee confronted a 56-year-old male suspect regarding his recording video on his phone while in the waiting room.
The suspect became argumentative with the employee and when a male employee intervened the suspect allegedly pushed and attempted to punch him and placed his hands around the employee’s throat, according to the report.
Shortly thereafter, the nurse practitioner led the suspect to the examining room to be with his wife, the report said.
Upon arrival, Brodrick reviewed surveillance footage of the incident and made contact with the suspect.
According to the report, the suspect alleged the male employee put his hands on him first and he acted in self-defense.
As Brodrick requested identification from the suspect, he refused and was uncooperative, the report said.
The suspect was placed under arrest for obstructing an officer, resisting arrest and assault and battery.
Kingfisher EMS were called to evaluate the suspect due to “blood coming from his face and head from the incident” after his resisting arrest, the report said.
EMS examined and treated the suspect and he was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center, according to the report.
Captain Travis Gray and Officer Quinton Cline assisted with the investigation.
April 26 - Leaving scene of accident.
Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of a hit and run accident at 33 Corner Store, 723 W. Broadway Ave.
According to the report, the suspect vehicle hit a dumpster on the property “hard enough to spin it around, but not damage it.”
April 26 - Burglary-second degree (automobile) and malicious injury/ destruction of property.
Officer Dustin Brodrick responded to a report of theft and property damage at Mercy Hospital Kingfisher, 1000 Hospital Circle.
According to the report, a 24-year-old female stated she started receiving notifications of fraudulent transactions on her debit card while at work.
She was also notified of a fraudulent transaction on her credit card and, when she went to look for her wallet in her vehicle, she discovered her the driver’s side window had been broken and her purse and wallet were missing, the report said.
The reported contents of the wallet included her passport, driver’s license, military identification, Social Security card and copy of her spouse’s security card, two debit cards and a credit card.
According to the report, three fraudulent transactions were reported $540.70 at Walgreens, $122 at 7-Eleven and $124.39 at Phillips 66.
April 27 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.
Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of theft from Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
According to the report, an asset protection employee stated that on April 17, an unknown female suspect used the Walmart scan and go feature and exited the store with approximately $900 of unpurchased items.
The scan and go feature allows customers to scans items on their phone as they’re shopping and a barcode is then scanned at the register which must be confirmed in less than three minutes or the transaction is canceled, the report said.
According to the report, the female suspect failed to confirm the purchase, but left with the merchandise.
The asset protection employee stated that he could only confirm one item the suspect had left the store with - a bottle of perfume valued at $42.98, the report said.
Hollon reviewed surveillance footage of the incident and was provided photographs of the suspect.
