Kingfisher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports: December 20 - No valid driver’s license and failure to show insurance.
Officer Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he observed a southbound vehicle on U.S. 81 with a male driver who was known by the officer to be driving without a driver’s license.
According to the report, Schlegel initiated a traffic stop and verified the suspect did not have a valid driver’s license or insurance.
The suspect was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license and failure to comply with the compulsory insurance law.
Schlegel said in his report two female passengers were also determined to have outstanding warrants and taken into custody.
According to the report, one of the female suspects possessed a small mirror with white residue on it which produced inconclusive field test results and was sent to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation for further testing.
The vehicle was inventoried and impounded.

December 21 - Petit larceny-state.
Officer Steven Renbarger responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
According to the report, an asset protection employee stated two male suspects had exited the store with unpurchased merchandise.
Renbarger said in his report that he reviewed surveillance footage of the incident.
A total of four items were taken with a reported value of $26.11.
Officer Justin Conner assisted with the investigation.
December 22 - Petit larceny-state.
Officer Aaron Schlegel took a report of theft in the 200 block of East Toronto Avenue.
According to the report, Dawn Terrell Briggery stated her son’s Huffy 29-inch Rock Creek mountain bike, valued at $180, had been stolen.
December 26 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.
Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
According to the report, a 19-year-old male suspect scanned four items totaling $18.44 at the self-checkout, but failed to pay for the merchandise and exited the store.
The store manager reportedly stated that she “ran out of the store yelling for the subject to stop, but that he continued to his vehicle,” but she was able to get the vehicle tag number.
Schlegel reviewed surveillance footage of the incident and the suspect was identified, the report said.
Schlegel said in his report that he made contact with the suspect, who stated that he was distracted by a face time phone call while wearing earbuds and didn’t intentionally leave without paying.
The suspect agreed to return and pay for the items, the report said.
December 27 - Fraudulent use of credit card number.
Officer Justin Conner took a report from Ryan Schwarz regarding fraudulent use of a credit card.
Schwarz reportedly stated 14 fraudulent transactions had been made on his credit card.
According to the report, charges were made on various days at Walmart, Love’s Country Store, Casey’s, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Dollar General and Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Conner said in his report that he was able to identify a 48-year-old female suspect from surveillance footage obtained from Walmart and made contact with the suspect.
According to the report, the suspect stated a male individual provided her with the card, which he claimed was his brother’s, and “asked her to get a few things.”
The suspect reportedly admitted to making all of the charges with the exception of a $25 charge to Love’s Country Store.
