Kingfisher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports: January 31 - DUI-liquor or drugs/APCV and transporting open container- liquor.
Officer Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he was on patrol when he observed a vehicle make an improper turn onto Broadway Avenue and he initiated a traffic stop.
According to the report, the 52-year-old male driver appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication.
Schlegel conducted field sobriety tests and a preliminary breath test on the subject, according to the report.
Officer Justin Conner retrieved two tumbler style cups from the vehicle - one approximately 3/4 full of beer and the other 1/4 full of beer - along with two empty 12-ounce beer cans, the report said.
The suspect was placed under arrest for suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
Schlegel also issued a warning for the improper turn and citations for transporting an open container of alcohol and for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
The vehicle was inventoried and impounded and the suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
Officer Kyle Svoboda assisted with the investigation.
January 31 - Larceny- auto, aircraft or other motor vehicle.
Sergeant Justin Trumbley took a report of theft from Jacksons of Kingfisher, 2400 Frontage Road.
General Manager Casey Jackson reportedly stated that on Jan. 25, a 2021 Dodge Charger was stolen from the car lot.
According to the report, Jackson provided surveillance footage of the incident.
Trumbley was also able to obtain footage from the nearby Walmart parking lot during the time of the theft, the report said.
The stolen vehicle’s identification was entered into the National Crime In- formation Center database.
February 4 - Public intoxication.
Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel responded to a report of an individual causing a disturbance at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
A store employee reportedly stated that a female customer was being disorderly while “yelling and cursing at staff” and appeared to be intoxicated.
McDaniel said in his report that the 57-year-old female appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication and was placed under arrest for causing a disturbance while intoxicated.
The suspect was then transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
