Kingfisher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
February 10 - DUI-liquor or drugs/APCV and unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Corporal Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he observed a southbound vehicle on U.S. 81 with its bright headlights illuminated and exiting its lane to the left and he initiated a traffic stop.
According to the report, the 67-year-old female driver appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication.
Field sobriety tests were performed and the suspect was placed under arrest for suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicating substance, the report said.
Schlegel said in his report that Officer Eric Vincent and his K9 partner of the Okarche Police Department were called to the scene to conduct “a free air sniff around the exterior of the vehicle.”
According to the report, the K9 partner gave a positive alert and two passengers - a 65-year-old female and a 68-year-old female - were removed from the vehicle and the vehicle was searched.
Officers located an Air-Pod case containing a brown powdery substance and a case with a cloth, matches and a baggy containing a white crystal-like substance in the vehicle, the report said.
The two female passengers were then placed under arrest for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
The driver was transported to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher to obtain a sample for the state’s blood test and then transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center and booked for suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicating substance and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Field tests were performed on the white crystal- like substance which produced a positive result for methamphetamine and a test on the brown powder produced inconclusive results for heroin, the report said.
Officers Justin Conner, Matthew Hollon and Christopher McDaniel assisted with the investigation.
February 11 - Possession of controlled dangerous substance within 1,000 feet of school/ park/minor under 12 (two counts), unlawful possession of paraphernalia (two counts), wearing body armor in committing a felony, public intoxication and unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel responded to a report of an individual exhibiting strange conduct at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
McDaniel said in his report that he observed a 31-year-old male exhibiting possible signs of being under the influence of an intoxicating substance and also wearing a level IIIA body armor vest under his clothing.
According to the report, McDaniel placed the suspect under arrest for public intoxication, with the assistance of Kingfisher County Sheriff’s deputy Jason Weibelt.
During a search of the suspect, McDaniel located a pipe containing a burnt residue and white crystalline substance (which later field tested positive for methamphetamine) and a container with 13 pills which were identified as Oxycodone (30mg), the report said.
McDaniel said in his report that the Oxycodone pills are often counterfeited and contain fentanyl, but field tests proved inconclusive for fentanyl.
The suspect was transported to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher where he was cleared for incarceration and then transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
McDaniel returned to the Walmart parking lot and secured the suspect’s vehicle, which was searched after obtaining a search warrant, the report said.
According to the report, two baggies containing white crystal-like substance (which field tested positive for methamphetamine), a glass pipe with burnt residue and a partially consumed cigarette consisting of a green leafy substance were located in the suspect’s vehicle.

February 12 - Malicious injury/destruction of property.
Lieutenant Dustin Brodrick responded to a report of property damage at U.S. 81 and Airport Road.
According to the report, Kingfisher City employee Jeremiah Homier stated he observed damage to the city’s chain link fencing just north of the entrance to the city transfer station.
Brodrick said in his report that he observed vehicle tracks which appeared to drive over a stop sign and into the chain link fencing on the northeast side of U.S. 81 and took photos of the damage.
February 16 - Petit larceny.
Officer Steven Renbarger responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 Starlite Drive.
According to the report, the manager stated as she reviewed surveillance footage from Feb. 12, she observed a male removing spider wire from a speaker and a female pick up headphones in the electronics department, then walk towards the fitting rooms, where an empty headphone box with the spider wire removed was found.
Photographs of the suspects and a copy of surveillance footage of the incident were provided to the officer.
The reported value of the headphones was $199.
February 21 - Warrant, unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of contraband by inmate.
Officer Steven Renbarger said in his report that he observed a vehicle in the area of Fifth Street and Robberts Avenue with a defective third brake light and passenger side brake light and initiated a traffic stop.
Renbarger issued the driver warnings for the defective equipment.
Corporal Aaron Schlegel determined that a 32-yearold female passenger had an outstanding warrant and she was placed under arrest, according to the report.
Renbarger said in his report that the suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center, where a jailer located a baggy containing a crystal-like substance in the suspect’s pocket, which field tested positive for methamphetamine.
Additional charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of contraband by an inmate were added, the report said.
February 22 - Public intoxication.
Officer Steven Renbarger responded to a report of an unwanted person at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
Renbarger said in his report that he observed a 34-year-old male in the parking lot who appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication.
According to the report, the suspect was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
Corporal Aaron Schlegel and Officers Justin Conner and Matthew Hollon assisted with the investigation.
February 23 - Larceny from the house.
Corporal Aaron Schlegel took a report of theft in the 800 block of South Third Street.
According to the report, Montie Bullis stated a washer, dryer, refrigerator and stove were missing from a rental property.
A possible suspect was identified and Schlegel made contact with Bullis’ employee regarding any additional information pertaining to the theft, the report said.
Officers Justin Conner and Matthew Hollon assisted Schlegel in canvassing the area in search of possible video surveillance footage of the incident, according to the report.
February 23 - Malicious injury/destruction of property.
Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of property damage in the 900 block of Robin Lane.
According to the report, William Owen stated that his mailbox had been damaged.
Conner said in his report that he observed the mailbox was knocked off the stand, dented, bent and torn and he photographed the damage.
The reported value of the damage was $100.
February 23 - Burglary- second degree (automobile).
Lieutenant Dustin Brodrick responded to a report of theft in the 1200 block of Alpine Drive.
According to the report, Tanner and Stephanie Richards reported that two vehicles had been burglarized and multiple items were stolen.
The total reported value of the stolen items was $1,897.11.
February 29 - Domestic abuse committed in presence of child and preventing 911 call.
Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of East Fay Avenue.
Corporal Aaron Schlegel and Officer Steven Renbarger assisted with the investigation.
February 29 - Domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, possession of dangerous drugs prohibited- marijuana and possession of contraband by inmate.
Corporal Aaron Schlegel responded to a domestic dispute involving a husband and wife traveling in two separate vehicles on U.S. 81.
According to the report, the 43-year-old male suspect struck the 48-year-old female’s vehicle in the rear.
Both vehicles proceeded to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center and officers made contact with both individuals regarding the incident, the report said.
The male suspect was placed under arrest for domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Schlegel said in his report that during the booking process a jailer discovered a rubber tip to a pipe with residue on it in the suspect’s possession.
The residue was field tested for marijuana and produced a positive result, according to the report.
Possession of dangerous drugs prohibited-marijuana and possession of contraband by inmate were added to the charges.
Officers Justin Conner and Steven Renbarger and Deputies Charles Blackburn and Chuck Countryman assisted with the investigation.
March 6 - Public intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance and larceny of merchandise from retailer.
Officer Kyle Svoboda responded to a report of theft at Love’s Country Store, 203 S. Main St.
According to the report, employees stated that an individual had left the store without paying for items and was still on the property.
Svoboda said in his report that he made contact with the 34-year-old male suspect and observed that he appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication.
Officers arrested the suspect for public intoxication and upon a search of his belongings discovered a bottle cap and light bulb contraption containing residue which field tested positive for methamphetamine, the report said.
A receipt for the stolen items totaling $62.56 was provided to officers.
The suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center and charged with public intoxication, possession of paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine and larceny from a retailer.
