Kingfisher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
March 7 - No valid driver’s license, transporting open container- liquor, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of dangerous drugs prohibited and possession of contraband by inmate.
Officer Justin Conner said in his report that he observed a vehicle on U.S. 81 with a defective third brake light and leaving its lane multiple times and conducted a traffic stop.
According to the report, the 36-year-old male driver was driving without a valid driver’s license.
Officers performed a search of the suspect and discovered an opened bottle of Tvarscki vodka, which was half empty, the report said.
The suspect was arrested for operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s license and transporting an open container of liquor and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
According to the report, during the booking process, a small glass smoking pipe with a blue nipple on the end and white residue inside (which field tested positive for methamphetamine) was located on the suspect.
Possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and bringing contraband into the jail were added to the charges against the suspect.
March 8 - DUI-liquor or drugs/APCV, unlaw- ful possession of a controlled dangerous substance, unlawful possession of paraphernalia and possession of contraband by inmate.
Corporal Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of a reckless driver in the area of South Ninth Street and Fay Avenue.
Schlegel said in his report that he made contact with the 32-year-old female driver who appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication.
According to the report, field sobriety tests were performed on the suspect and she was placed under arrest for actual physical control of a motor vehicle (while under the influence).
The vehicle was inventoried and towed and the suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
During the booking process, a clear plastic baggie containing a white crystal- like substance (which later field tested positive for methamphetamine) was discovered on the suspect, the report said.
Possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of contraband were added to the charges against the suspect.
Officers Justin Conner and Matthew Hollon assisted with the investigation.
March 17 - DUI-liquor or drugs/APCV aggravated, no valid driver’s license and speeding.
Officer Kyle Svoboda said in his report that he observed a northbound vehicle on U.S. 81 traveling at a speed in excess of the posted limit and initiated a traffic stop.
According to the report, the 38-year-old male suspect appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication and was determined to be driving without a valid driver’s license.
The suspect failed field sobriety tests and reportedly admitted “to drinking four large beers,” the report said.
The suspect was arrested and transported to the Kingfi sher County Criminal Justice Center, where an Intoxilyzer test was performed, according to the report.
The suspect was charged with aggravated DUI and driving without a valid driver’s license.
The vehicle was inventoried and towed.

March 18 - Misdemeanor value-false pretense/ bogus check/con game.
Officer Matthew Hollon took a report regarding theft of a vehicle in the 800 block of South Third Street.
According to the report, Justin Deshazo stated that he sold a vehicle to an individual on March 16, with the buyer providing a partial payment at that time.
On March 18, Deshazo informed the officers that the individual had not completed the payment, according to the report.
Officers made attempts to contact the buyer, but were unsuccessful, the report said.
Deshazo made contact again with the officers on April 11, providing documentation, according to the report.
Captain Travis Gray informed Deshazo that the case would be sent to the district attorney’s office to determine if it was a civil matter, the report said.

April 1 - Burglary-first degree.
Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of theft in the 700 block of South Third Street.
According to the report, Will Washington stated that a .45 caliber pistol had been stolen from his residence.
Hollon said in his report that he photographed pry marks on Washington’s front door and informed him that he would enter the stolen firearm’s information into the National Crime Information Center if he was able to provide the serial number.
April 3 - Failure to show insurance, transporting open container- liquor, DUI-liquor or drugs/APCV, failure to wear seatbelt, unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Corporal Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he observed a southbound vehicle on U.S. 81 with a defective third brake light and the driver not wearing a seatbelt and initiated a traffic stop.
According to the report, the 29-year-old driver did not have her driver’s license with her or insurance on the vehicle and appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication.
Officers determined the suspect had an outstanding warrant (but without extradition) and “a mostly empty 375 ml. bottle of Evan Williams whiskey” was located in the vehicle as well as a black tumbler and styrofoam cup both containing a “brown liquid that smelled like alcohol,” the report said.
Field sobriety tests were performed and the suspect was place under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence.
An inventory of the vehicle produced a purse which contained two syringes containing a clear liquid, one empty syringe and a clear baggy containing a white crystal-like substance (which later field tested positive for methamphetamine), according to the report.
The suspect was issued a warning for the defective equipment and citations for failure to wear seatbelt, no insurance, DUI, transporting an open container of liquor, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
