Kingfisher Police Department reports

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports: June 10 - Warrant and unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

Sergeant Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he observed a northbound vehicle with a defective third brake light on U.S. 81 and initiated a traffic stop.

According to the report, the female driver was issued a warning for defective equipment and a citation for failure to comply with the compulsory insurance law.

Two female passengers, a 66-year-old and 68-yearold, were identified as having outstanding Kingfisher County warrants, according to the report.

Both passengers were placed under arrest for the warrants and a search of the 68-year-old’s wallet produced three packets of a controlled substance, the report said.

The 68-year-old female suspect was additionally charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

Officers Justin Conner and Christopher McDaniel assisted with the investigation.

June 12 - Public intoxication.

Officer Steven Renbarger responded to a report of a possible intoxicated individual in the 700 block of Rock Island Street.

Renbarger said in his report that he made contact with an 18-year-old male suspect who appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication and possible hallucinations.

The suspect was transported by Kingfisher EMS to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher for evaluation.

Once the suspect was cleared for release by the hospital staff, he was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

Lieutenant Justin Trumbley assisted with the investigation.

June 13 - Public intoxication.

Officer Steven Renbarger responded to a report of an angry and possibly intoxicated individual at Payless Inn, 2300 Frontage Road.

According to the report, a 28-year-old male subject became upset when an employee informed him there were no rooms available and also appeared to be intoxicated, but had left the area after the encounter.

It was reported that a male carrying a sword and matching the suspect’s description was seen in the area of Thompson Drive and South Ninth Street.

Officers searched the area, but were unsuccessful in locating the suspect, however Deputy Kejuan Joseph located him in the 1300 block of South 12th Street, the report said.

Renbarger said in his report that the suspect appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication.

The suspect was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

June 14 - Planning or threatening violent act and public intoxication.

Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of a disturbance at B&B Liquor, 1306 S. Main St.

According to the report, two male individuals were involved in a confrontation in the parking lot and appeared to be intoxicated.

A 32-year-old male subject was placed under arrest for public intoxication and threatened Hollon while in transport to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center, according to the report.

The suspect was then also charged with planning or threatening violent act.

A 36-year-old male suspect was also placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

Officer Christopher McDaniel and Kingfisher County Sheriff’s deputies assisted with the investigation.
