Four Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club.

Joining the local civic group were Maddox Mecklenburg, Cash Slezickey, Drake Friesen and Jay Turner.

Mecklenburg is the son of Justin and Lyndy Mecklenburg.

He’s active in basketball, STUCO, FCA and is a member of the National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society.

Mecklenburg was a member of two state championship basketball and academic state championship teams, selected as the 2022 Wheat Capital Tournament MVP and an Academic All-State and all-conference team member.

He was also a freshman and junior class king, class officer, CTB Sports All-Star and is involved at Lifeway Church.

Mecklenburg plans to major in entrepreneurship at Oklahoma State University.

Slezickey is the son of Dave and Melissa Slezickey.

He’s active in basketball, golf, track, STUCO, FCA, and is a member of the National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society.

Slezickey was listed on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll, named Student of the Month, received the Masonic Scholar Award and served as sophomore and junior class president.

He also active in Students Stepping Up, was a member of two state championship basketball and academic state championship teams and is involved at First Baptist Church.

Slezickey plans to major in biology at OSU.

Friesen is the son of Leah and Scott Seely and Brandon and Kari Friesen.

He’s active in basketball, STUCO, FCA, is a member of the National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society and was a class officer.

Friesen also was a member of two state championship basketball and academic state championship teams, a member of the K101 Classic Bowl team and attends Limitless Church.

Friesen plans to major in sports medicine at OSU.

Turner is the son of Joann Turner.

He’s active in the automotive program at Chisholm Trail Technology Center and has received multiple certifications.

Turner also attends Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

He plans study computer repair at CTTC.
