Kingfisher Rotary Club hosts 6 KHS seniors

Six Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club.

Joining the local civic group were Cooper Young, Bryan Campos, Elijah Click, Izak Oaks, Abel Guzman and Jeremiah Burpo.

Young is the son of Michelle and Jeremy Young. He’s active in golf, serves as vice president of Student Council and earned third place in civics at the Southwestern Interscholastic Meet. Young also served as an Oklahoma Boys State delegate, is a member of the National Honor Society and Memorial Road Church of Christ. He plans to attend Oklahoma Christian University and major in computer science. Campos is the son of Alfredo Campos and Erika Gamez. He’s active in soccer and is on KHS Photography staff.

Campos plans to attend Chisholm Trail Technology Center to earn construction certifications and also start a photography business. Click is the son of Adam Click and Leslie Click. He’s active in soccer and in Federated Church. Click plans to attend Leeds Beckett University in England where he will be a member of the soccer team and major in SPOMS coaching.

Oaks is the son of Andrew Oaks and Mindy Oaks. He’s active in football, basketball and soccer. Oaks plans to attend college and major in accounting. 

Guzman is the son of Luis Guzman and Heidi Munoz. He’s active in soccer, is on the KHS Photography staff and attends Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Guzman plans to attend a technology center and pursue a career as an electrician.

Burpo is the son of Dustin Burpo and Kristin Burpo. He’s active in the National Technical Honor Society, serves as Technology Student Association president, was an Oklahoma Boys State delegate and plays the drums at church. Burpo plans to attend the University of Oklahoma and major in mechanical engineering.
