Kingfisher Rotary hosts 4 KHS seniors

Four Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club.

Joining the local civic group were Addison Willson, Matthew Mecklenburg, Talor Mecklenburg and Raegan Snider.

Willson is the daughter of Amy and Darrel Wood.

She’s active in softball, was selected all-region utility and all-district softball player and is a member of the National Society of High School Scholars.

Willson also participated in Kingfisher County Distinguished Young Women in which she received two scholarships and assists Mecklenburg is also involved in STUCO where she serves as secretary, a member of the National Honor Society, was a twotime state track qualifier in the 100 meter hurdles and attends Life.Church. She plans to obtain a real estate license and attend OSU to major in interior design and business. Snider is the daughter of Brent and Steph Snider. She’s active in basketball and was on the 2022 and 2023 state qualifying basketball teams, was selected all-conference first team in basketball and was a golf regional champion. Snider is also a member of the National Honor Society, Oklahoma Honor Society, on the Center of Family Love Teen Board and is involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Holy Trinity Catholic Church youth group. She plans to attend Northwestern Oklahoma State University where she will be a member of the basketball team and major in medicine with a pediatrics emphasis. with leading worship at church.

She plans to attend Oklahoma Baptist University and major in Christian ministry with an emphasis on student and family.

Matthew Mecklenburg is the son of Justin and Lyndy Mecklenburg.

He’s active in golf, basketball and was a part of the state champion and two-time state qualifying basketball teams.

Mecklenburg is also a member of the National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society, involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and attends First Baptist Church.

He plans to attend Oklahoma State University and major in entrepreneurship or finance.

Talor Mecklenburg is the daughter of Kyle and Melissa Mecklenburg.

She’s active in basketball, track, cheerleading and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

She was a member of the 2023 Class 4A state champion cheerleading squad.
