Kingfisher traffic accidents

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:

October 29, 1:30 p.m. - At 1215 S. Main St. Shannon Norris, 63, Okarche, driving a 2019 Dodge Ram 1500, was stopped in the westbound left turn lane at the traffic light of Seay Avenue and U.S. 81.

Gene Pierce, 55, Kingfisher, driving a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500, was also westbound in the right turn lane at the traffic light.

The Norris vehicle made a right turn and struck the front of the Pierce vehicle, according to the report.

Functional damage was reported to both vehicles and no injuries were reported.

Officer Aaron Schlegel investigated the accident.

November 1, 9:20 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and S.H. 33. James Elder, El Reno, driving a 2009 Volkswagen sedan, was northbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81 at the intersection of S.H. 33.

James Ayers, 58, Bethany, driving a 2010 Mack semi-truck and trailer, was also northbound behind the Elder vehicle.

According to the report, the Ayers vehicle attempted to enter the northbound left turn lane and struck the driver’s side of the Elder vehicle.

Minor damage was reported to the Ayers vehicle and functional damage to the Elder vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

Sergeant Justin Trumbley investigated the accident.

November 5, 1:57 p.m. - At West Will Rogers Drive and South 13th Street.

A 17-year-old male, Kingfisher, driving a 2021 Kia, was eastbound on West Will Roger Drive and stopped at the intersection of South 13th Street.

A 17-year-old female, Kingfisher, driving a 2009 Chevrolet, was southbound on South 13th Street and stopped at the intersection of West Will Rogers Drive.

According to the report, the 17-year-old male, made a left turn onto northbound South 13th Street. The 17-year-old female attempted to make a left turn onto eastbound West Will Rogers Drive and struck the rear tire of the 17-year-old male’s vehicle.

Minor damage was reported to both vehicles and no injuries were reported.

November 5, 5:05 p.m. - At Frontage Road and Mitchell Boulevard.

Shannon Lumpkin, 49, Kingfisher, driving a 2014 Jeep Cherokee, was northbound on Frontage Road and stopped at the intersection of Mitchell Boulevard.

Beau Kloeppel, 28, driving a 2016 GMC Sierra, was directly behind the Lumpkin vehicle.

According to the report, the Kloeppel vehicle moved forward and struck the rear of the Lumpkin vehicle.

Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported.

November 15, 2:58 p.m. - At S.H. 33 and 13th Street.

Georgina Tarango, 42, Kingfisher, driving a 2018 Ford Explorer, was northbound in the outside lane of South 13th Street near the intersection of S.H. 33.

Lisa Vogt, 57, Kingfisher, driving a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, was westbound and attempting to exit 33 Corner Store, 723 W. Broadway Ave.

According to the report, the Vogt vehicle failed to yield and struck the passenger side of the Tarango vehicle.

Disabling damage was reported to the Tarango vehicle and functional damage to the Vogt vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

November 17, 3:45 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and Overstreet Avenue.

Gerry Plummer, 75, Kingfisher, driving a 2021 Buick Enclave, was westbound on West Overstreet Avenue.

Rashell Bridle, 43, Kingfisher, driving a 2016 Chrysler, was backing out of the driveway of 1124 S. Main St. and struck the Plummer vehicle on the passenger side.

Functional damage was reported to the Plummer vehicle and minor damage to the Bridle vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

November 19, 11:27 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and Locust Avenue.

Justace Neeley, 22, Enid, driving a 2006 Jeep, was southbound in the outside lane of U.S. 81 near the intersection of Locust Avenue.

Marvin Turner, 81, Kingfisher, driving a 2014 Ford F150, was westbound on East Locust Avenue and attempted to make a left turn onto southbound U.S. 81.

According to the report, the Turner vehicle struck the Neeley vehicle on the front driver’s side.

Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported.
