Kingfisher traffic reports
The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: August 31, 4:30 p.m. At U.S. 81 and Robberts Avenue.
A 17-year-old male driver, Kingfisher, driving a 2005 Ford 500, was southbound on U.S. 81.
According to the report, Deputy Charles Blackburn attempted to stop the 17-year-old’s vehicle for speeding, but the vehicle failed to yield and attempted to turn right on West Robberts Avenue.
The 17-year-old’s vehicle failed to negotiate the turn, departed the roadway to the right, crossed into the eastbound lane of West Robberts Avenue, departed the roadway to the left, struck the curb/sidewalk and sideswiped 320 N. Main St., the report said.
The 17-year-old driver sustained possible head and trunk injuries and was transported by Kingfisher EMS to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher.
Disabling damage was reported to the vehicle.

September 8, 9:15 p.m. - At 200 W. Starlite Drive.
Cy Smith, 48, Kingfisher, driving a 2017 Dodge Ram 2500, was parked in a southbound parking space at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
Christopher Cannon, 53, Kingfisher, driving a 1998 Dodge 500, was westbound in the parking lot.
According to the report, the Cannon vehicle veered to the left, struck the Smith vehicle and left the scene.
Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.
No injuries were reported.

September 14, 4:11 p.m. - At 1305 S. Main St.
Charlean Lafferty, 37, Kingfisher, driving a 2013 Toyota Rav4, was parked in a parking space at Dollar General, 1305 S. Main St.
Ronald Rother, 77, Kingfi sher, driving a 2018 Ford F150, attempted to back out of a parking space and struck the Lafferty vehicle, the report said.
Minor damage was reported to the Lafferty vehicle and no damage to the Rother vehicle.
No injuries were reportd.
Officer Jarred Tech investigated the accident.
September 16, 1 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and Starlite Drive.
Ayla June, 40, Elkins, Ark., driving a 2023 International MV60, was northbound in the outside lane of U.S. 81 and stopped at the intersection of Starlite Drive.
Jerry Jones, 62, Kingfisher, driving a 2007 Chevrolet 1500, was also in the northbound outside lane of U.S. 81 directly behind the June vehicle.
According to the report, the June vehicle began to proceed forward when the traffic light changed and was then struck in the rear by the Jones vehicle.
Functional damage was reported to the Jones vehicle and minor damage to the June vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
