KPD investigates accidents

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:

April 15, 10 a.m. - At 123 N. Sixth St.

Raymundo Alcantara Aldana, 38, Albuquerque, N.M., driving a 2007 Chevrolet 2500 towing a trailer, was parked along the east curb of North Sixth Street in a southbound direction.

Andres Camarena Vera, 66, Kingfisher, driving a 2004 Ford F-150, was parked in a parking space on the east side of Ace Hardware, 123 N. Sixth St.

According to the report, the Camarena Vera vehicle attempted to back out of the parking space and struck the Alcantara Aldana vehicle.

Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.

No injuries were reported.

Officer Aaron Schlegel investigated the accident.

April 15, 11:42 a.m. - At 200 W. Starlite Drive.

Crisella James, 53, Kingfisher, driving a 2014 Ford Mustang, was parked in a parking space at Walmart, 200 W Starlite Drive.

Alisha Tovar, 46, Fairview, driving a 2013 Hyundai, was parked adjacent to the James vehicle’s passenger side.

James reportedly stated when Tovar opened the driver’s side door, it struck the passenger door of her vehicle.

According to the report, orange paint transfer was observed on the James vehicle, as well as white paint transfer on the Tovar vehicle.

Minor damage was re-ported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported.
