KPD investigating multiple reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
April 12 - Grand larceny.
Captain Travis Gray was dispatched to Tony’s Truck Stop, 100 W. Mitchell Drive, in reference to a stolen semi trailer.
Cary Jenson reportedly stated he had parked his grain hopper trailer in the parking lot on April 9 and when he returned on April 12, it was missing.
Gray entered the trailer’s identifying information into the National Crime Identification Center (NCIC).
According to the report, Gray later viewed the store’s surveillance footage in which he observed an individual attach a semi to the trailer and travel northbound on U.S. 81.
After receiving information about the location of the stolen trailer, Gray met Blaine County Deputy Todd Davis, where the 41-yearold male suspect reportedly admitted to stealing the trailer, the report said. The suspect was placed under arrest on other charges in Blaine County and his semi was seized, according to the report.
Gray said in his report that he took photographs of the semi and trailer and informed the suspect that he plans to file a case in Kingfisher County against him for theft.
April 15 - Eluding police officer, unsafe lane use and driving with license canceled/suspended/revoked.
Officer Tyler Girten responded to a report of a reckless driver in the area of U.S. 81 and Starlite Drive.
Girten said in his report that he observed a vehicle matching the description and failing to maintain its lane in the area of U.S. 81 and Chisholm.
According to the report, Girten initiated a traffic stop and determined the driver was driving without a driver’s license and also recognized the driver as a 38-year-old male suspect who had walked away from Clara Waters Community Corrections Center in Oklahoma City. As Girten attempted to
As Girten attempted to place the suspect under arrest, he fled in the vehicle reaching speeds over 100 mph, the report said.
Officer Christopher McDaniel joined the northbound pursuit on U.S. 81, which eventually ended when the suspect crashed his vehicle into the Dover High School baseball field, according to the report.
The suspect fled on foot and officers set up a search perimeter near the school, according to the report.
Officers performed an inventory of the vehicle and it was towed.
April 16 - Burglary of vehicle.
Officer Brandon Chapman responded to a report of theft from a vehicle in the 1300 block of South Main Street.
According to the report, an individual said that a known male suspect stole a car stereo from her vehicle while it was parked at Jacket Laundry.
Chapman took photos of the interior of the vehicle and made contact with the 44-year-old male suspect at a residence, the report said.
Chapman said in his report officers were unable to locate the stereo, but arrested the suspect on an outstanding warrant in Woodward County.
After transporting the suspect to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center, it was determined the warrant was for a different individual with the same name and officers returned the suspect to the residence, according to the report.
Chapman said in his report the owner of the laundromat stated she was unable to observe the alleged incident on video surveillance.
Identifying information for the stereo was entered into the National Crime Identification Center (NCIC), the report said.
Officer Matthew Hollon and Deputy Mike Shults assisted with the investigation.
April 17 - Grand larceny in house or vessel.
Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of theft in the 100 block of South Fifth Street.
According to the report, Antonio De La Torre stated 105 bundles of shingles were stolen from his rental property.
The total reported value of the shingles was $2,415.
