KPD investigating multiple reports

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports: August 18 - Identity theft.

Officer Jarred Tech took a report of identity theft in the 1500 block of South 13th Street.

Latricia Crane reported a fraudulent unemployment claim had been made in her name, the report said.

August 21 - Malicious injury/destruction of property.

Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of property damage at Braum’s, 1615 S. Main St.

According to the report, the manager stated a known 60-year-old male suspect damaged the west exit door.

The manager stated the customer “often causes a scene and is rude to the staff over order delays” and he requested the suspect be trespassed from the restaurant, the report said.

Hollon took photographs of the damage to the door, frame and trim around the door as well as additional damage to the brick on the outside of the restaurant, according to the report.

After observing security footage of the incident, Hollon made contact with the suspect at his residence.

Hollon said in his report that he informed the suspect of the damage and that he would be filing paperwork with the district attorney regarding the incident as well as informed the suspect that he had been trespassed from the restaurant.

Deputy Kyle Svoboda witnessed the incident and assisted with the investigation.

August 22 - Burglary- second degree (automobile).

Captain Travis Gray took a report of theft from a vehicle in the 600 block of West Oklahoma Avenue.

According to the report, Jeremy Conrad stated $190 had been stolen from his vehicle overnight.

Sergeant Charles Trout acquired surveillance footage from a neighboring residence’s Ring doorbell video, the report said.

August 22 - Identity theft.

Officer Justin Trumbley took a report of identity theft in the 1500 block of South 13th Street.

According to the report, Angie Kennedy stated a fraudulent unemployment claim had been filed using her identity.
