KPD officers investigate multiple recent reports

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports: July 10 - Identity theft.

Officer Matthew Hollon took a report of identity theft in the 200 block of West Mitchell Drive.

According to the report, Linda Schemmer said when she attempted to transfer her Pioneer Cellular service to Verizon, she was informed another account existed with Verizon under her Social Security number.

Schemmer reportedly stated that she was unaware of any fraudulent use of her Social Security number and was informed she is “unable to switch her service over until this issue is resolved with Verizon.”

July 13 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.

Sergeant Justin Trumbley responded to a report of theft at Casey’s General Store, 102 S. Main St.

According to the report, a 23-year-old male entered the store three different times on the morning of July 13 and stole three drinks and a piece of pizza.

A store employee stated the suspect returned to the store at a later time and was informed he was not allowed in the store, the report said.

The total reported value of the items was $9.78.

July 13 - Larceny from the house and fraudulent use of credit card number (two counts).

Sergeant Justin Trumbley took a report of fraudulent credit card charges in the 1200 block of South 10th Street.

According to the report, Wanda Sandefur-Clifton stated on July 12, six fraudulent charges were made on her credit card - two in Kingfisher and four in Enid - and she identified a possible suspect.

Trumbley made contact with the 24-year-old female suspect, who reportedly admitted to taking the credit card and making the fraudulent charges, the report said.

The reported value of the fraudulent charges made in Kingfisher was $93.91 and $1,264.34 in Enid.

July 14 - Enter structure with certain intent- break and enter.

Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of a possible burglary at a residence in the 200 block of North Second Street. According to the report, a witness stated he observed a male and female near the property of a vacant residence that he was “keeping an eye on” while the owner was out of town. The witness reportedly stated he observed the female enter the detached garage/ shed, but was unaware if either suspect had entered the home. Schlegel said in his report that he and Sergeant Justin Trumbley made contact with the suspects. According to the report, the male admitted to walking through the property, but denied going into the house or shed and the 37-year-old female suspect admitted to entering the shed.

July 15 - Domestic assault and battery/abuse.

Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel responded to a report of a possible domestic altercation in the 600 block of East Robberts Avenue.

Officer Matthew Hollon assisted with the investigation.

July 20 - Driving while license suspended.

Officer Derek Grassman said in his report that he observed a known 38-year-old female driver, with a suspended driver’s license, exiting Love’s Country Store parking lot.

Grassman initiated a traffic stop and placed the suspect under arrest for driving with a suspended driver’s license, the report said.

Officer Kyle Svoboda performed an inventory of the vehicle and it was towed.

Grassman transported the suspect to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
