KPD reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
June 17 - Forgery-to defraud or harm of another.
Officer Jeffrey Robbins took a report of fraud in the 100 block of North Main Street.
Joy Jones reportedly stated, after applying for a home loan, she discovered a credit account had fraudulently been opened in her name at Standard Credit.
According to the report, Jones spoke with the manager of Standard Credit and was informed her name was inadvertently entered for a loan and she was given a letter stating the mistake “was in the process of being corrected.”
Robbins said in his report that he spoke to the manager and she indicated “the error should be corrected on the next credit reporting cycle.”
June 19 - Domestic abuse assault and battery.
Officer Charles Trout responded to a report of a domestic altercation in the 800 block of South Third Street.
