KPS board works through brief September agenda
Members handled routine business during a brief September regular meeting of the Kingfisher Board of Education on Monday.
During his monthly report, Superintendent Andy Evans again went over the district’s financial standing.
“The revenue budget is fragile, but we are finding it is performing to conservative estimates,” Evans said.
Evans did note the gross production received - once the district receives the check later this month for this fiscal year is about $810,000 which is already about half of the $1.6 million in revenue projected on the estimate of needs.
While revenues are down overall, expenditures are also coming down.
Evans noted that net expenses are down about $475,000 as compared to this time last year.
Present for Monday’s meeting were board members Brad Wittrock, Mike Copeland, Charles Walker and Dana Golbek. Bill Reitz was absent.
Among the routine matters approved unanimously were:
• The Chase-Morris Sudden Cardiac Response Plan;
• Fundraisers for Kingfi sher Upper Elementary;
• A handbook for the Little Stingers child care center for district employees; • Multiple board policy modifications required by the state.
