KPS staff members recognized for service at end-of-year meeting
A number of Kingfisher Public Schools staff members were recognized last Friday at an end-of-year luncheon held at the high school cafeteria.
Employees were rewarded for hitting years of service milestones and other honors were distributed as well.
Among them was Jackie Sternberger, who was presented a plaque for being the districtwide teacher of the year.
Sternberger, a KHS history teacher, was announced as the winner in early January, but presented the plaque last week.
Superintendent David Glover also honored the retiring Sharon Clark.
A math teacher at KHS, Clark began working parttime for the district in 2001 before joining full-time in 2006.
She was presented a golden apple and a lifetime pass to KPS events.
Teachers and staff recognized for one year of service to the district were Ausha Baker, Amy Barnett, Kim Baustert, Dan Bivins, Niki Black, Dylan Blundell, Suzanne Bomhoff, Jordan Booth, Katy (Custer) Buckner, Stavana Conley, Justin Conner, Carol Craven, Maria De la Torre, Skye Dhonde, Rita Diaz Florez, Lynzi Garramone, Christy Gholson, Savannah Gilley, David Glover and Melissa Hardison.
Also, John Harris, Jessica Hladik, Barbara Hoselton, Nicole Kippenberger, Matthew Loch, Jannason Long, Stacy McDowell, Lana Miller, Kinsey Mueggenborg, Carmen Ortega, River (Harper) Ply, Morgan Shuman, Esther Stephenson, Molly Storm, Jordan Waltman, Irene Whitehead, Chris Wilfong, Steven Wilson, Timmy Winans, Emma Wood and Jeremy Young.
Those honored for five years of service to the district were Courtney Deterding, Jarren Graham, Samantha Ingram, Lacey Kuehn and Shelly Watkins.
Recognized for 10 years were Rhonda Bromlow, Kara Brueggen, Patricia Celiz, TJ Harris, Shondra Hoffman, Lara Kostka, Melody Kuehn, Mallory Kusik, Paula Leffingwell, Amy Pearson, Carina Ponce, Jared Reese, Lindsay Reese, Leah Seely and Audra Smalley.
Kristina Murphey and Michele Simon were recognized for 15 years with the district, Pam Werner for 20 years, Dawn Tollefson and Liz Walter for 25 years and Sheila Redwine for 30 years.
Dr. A.J. Johnson was then honored for his 50 years with the district.
