Four area youth now have new titles. The 2023 Little Mister and Miss Firecracker program was held Sunday at Kingfisher Heritage School auditorium. The event annually kicks off the city’s Fourth of July celebrations. Winners were announced in two different age groups – 2-3 years old and 4-5 years old – for both boys and girls. Pictured left with reigning Distinguished Young Woman of Kingfisher County Kylie Hood are, from left: 3-year-old Kash Wilson, son of Taylor Wilson; 3-year-old Elizabeth Kayo, daughter of Baelee Kayo; 4-year-old Kennedy Winters, daughter of Evan and Macy Winters; and 5-year-old Liam Tompkins, son of Sidney Townsend. Hood interviewed each of the contestants, who revealed a number of facts about themeselves, inluding siblings’ names, pets’ names, hobbies and secret talents.
