Livestock show begins Sunday
Thousands of hours of feeding and grooming prize livestock will go on display beginning Sunday, Feb. 20 when the Kingfisher spring livestock show opens at the county fairgrounds in Kingfisher.
FFA and 4-H members from Cashion, Dover, Hennessey, Kingfisher, Lomega and Okarche will parade their animals before judges on the following schedule:
Feb. 20 – Sheep and Goats
9 a.m.–Barns open.
11 a.m.–Goat fitting contest.
12 p.m.–Sheep and goats in place.
12:30 p.m.–Sheep and goats weigh-in.
2 p.m.–Goat Show.
Sheep show following goats.
Feb. 21 - Beef Show
7 a.m.–Barns open.
9 a.m.–Weigh commercial heifers and steers.
11 a.m. – Beef Show.
(Fitting contest following the beef show.)
Feb. 22 – Swine
7 a.m. – Barns open.
9 a.m. – All swine in place.
9:30 a.m. – Weigh cards due.
12 p.m. – Swine show.
Monday, Feb. 28
5:30 p.m. – Bidders’ Feed.
6:30 p.m. Premium Auction.
