Local traffic accidents

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:

April 17, 8:30 p.m. - At 200 W. Starlite Drive.

River Harper, 23, Dover, driving a 2013 Ford Focus, was parked in a parking space at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.

According to the report, Harper returned to her vehicle and observed damage to her vehicle’s passenger side.

Minor damage was reported to the Harper vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

Officer Christopher McDaniel investigated the accident.

April 20, 1:30 p.m. - At South 13th Street and Dawn Avenue.

Robert Burgess, 47, Cashion, driving a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, was southbound on South 13th Street near the intersection of Dawn Avenue.

A 16-year-old driver, Cashion, driving a 2009 Nissan, was eastbound on Dawn Avenue and stopped at the intersection of South 13th Street.

According to the report, the 16-year-old’s vehicle attempted a left turn onto South 13th Street and struck the Burgess vehicle in the passenger side.

Functional damage was reported to both vehicles.

No injuries were reported.

Sergeant Justin Trumbley investigated the accident.

April 21, 2:12 p.m. - At 107 N. Main St.

Kelsey Ellis, 29, Kingfisher, driving a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe, was parked at 107 N. Main St.

Bennie Schnorr, 87, Kingfisher, driving a 2011 GMC Sierra, attempted to park on Main Street.

According to the report, the Schnorr vehicle was backing and struck the Ellis vehicle.

Minor damage was reported to the Ellis vehicle and functional damage to the Schnorr vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

Officer Justin Conner investigated the accident.

April 23, 9:25 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and Wyatt Avenue.

Kara Kraus, 26, Okarche, driving a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe, was southbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81.

A 17-year-old driver, Cashion, driving a 2013 Dodge Dart, was southbound in the outside lane of U.S. 81.

According to the report, the 17-year-old’s vehicle attempted to merge into the inside lane and struck the Kraus vehicle.

Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.

No injuries were reported.

Officer Aaron Schlegel investigated the accident.
