Local traffic accidents

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: January 9, 10:30 a.m. At S.H. 33 and North 13th Street.

Julio Torrent, 57, Kingfisher, driving a 2003 Freightliner semi-truck, was eastbound on S.H. 33, attempted to turn left onto North 13th Street and struck the stop sign.

No injuries were reported.

Disabling damage was reported to the Torrent vehicle.

Officer Derek Grassman investigated the accident.

January 15, 7:35 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and Harvey Avenue.

Bryann Guffey, 29, Hennessey, driving a 2015 Nissan, was southbound on U.S. 81 and struck a deer.

No injuries were reported.

Minor damage was reported to the Guffey vehicle.

Officer Jarred Tech investigated the accident.

January 20, 2:35 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and Bowman Avenue.

Carol Kooken, 76, Kingfi sher, driving a 2016 Buick Enclave, was westbound on Bowman Avenue.

Jeffrey Hamilton, 39, McLoud, driving a 2001 Peterbilt, was southbound in the outside lane of U.S. 81.

A 17-year-old male driver, Kingfisher, driving a 2010 Dodge 1500, was eastbound on West Bowman Avenue and stopped at the intersection of U.S. 81.

According to the report, the Kooken vehicle attempted to cross U.S. 81 onto West Bowman Avenue and was struck by the Hamilton vehicle in the passenger side.

The Kooken vehicle then slid into the 17-year-old’s vehicle, the report said.

No injuries were reported.

Disabling damage was reported to the Kooken and 17-year-old’s vehicle and minor damage to the Hamilton vehicle.
