The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: June 29, 12:10 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and S.H. 33.

DeAnna Gilles, 56, Kingfi sher, driving a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer, was stopped in the inside southbound lane of U.S. 81 at the intersection of S.H. 33.

A 17-year-old male, Dover, driving a 2005 Ford F-150, was stopped in the inside southbound lane of U.S. 81 directly behind the Gilles vehicle.

According to the report, the 17-year-old male driver stated he “let off the brake while stopped and struck the (Gilles’) vehicle.”

Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.

No injuries were reported.

Sergeant Justin Trum- bley investigated the accident.

July 11, 3:10 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and Starlite Drive.

Janice Thrasher, 81, Enid, driving a 2021 Chevrolet Traverse, was stopped in the northbound lane of U.S. 81 at the Starlite Drive intersection.

Vernon McIver, 83, Alva, driving a 2007 Ford Edge, was northbound on U.S. 81.

According to the report, the McIver vehicle struck the Thrasher vehicle in the rear.

Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.

No injuries were reported.

Officer Aaron Schlegel investigated the accident.
