Local traffic accidents

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: September 16, 3:22 p.m. At U.S. 81 and Seay Avenue.

Daniel Robinson, 65, Kingfisher, driving a 2023 Honda Accord, was westbound in the parking lot of 1215 S. Main St. and stopped at the traffic signal of U.S. 81.

Carolyn Musick, 74, Kingfisher, driving a 2012 Jeep, was northbound in the outside lane of U.S. 81.

According to the report, the Musick vehicle attempted to turn right into the parking lot and veered left, striking the Robinson vehicle.

Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.

No injuries were reported.

Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel investigated the accident.

September 18, 4:10 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and Will Rogers Drive.

A 16-year-old male, Hennessey, driving a 2022 Toyota Corolla, was northbound on U.S. 81.

Tammy Jones, 61, Kingfi sher, driving a 2014 Ford, was southbound in the left lane of U.S. 81.

According to the report, Jones attempted to turn left onto East Will Rogers Drive at the green traffic signal, but failed to yield and was then struck by the oncoming 16-year-old’s vehicle.

Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.

No injuries were reported.

Officer Matthew Hollon investigated the accident.

September 21, 4:47 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and Bowman Avenue.

Jose Ramirez-Diaz, 25, Kingfisher, driving a 2012 Jeep, was northbound in the outside lane of U.S. 81, near Bowman Avenue.

Gregory Dodson, 35, Kingfisher, driving a 1999 Dodge Q15, was westbound on East Bowman Avenue and stopped at the intersection of U.S. 81.

According to the report, the Dodson vehicle attempted to turn left onto U.S. 81 and failed to yield to the oncoming Ramirez-Diaz vehicle which then struck the Dodson vehicle.

Dodson reportedly stated the Ramirez-Diaz vehicle had a right turn signal on and Ramirez-Diaz said the turn signal was activated while changing lanes, the report said.

Disabling damage was reported to the Ramirez-Diaz vehicle and unknown damage to the Dodson vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

Officer Justin Conner investigated the accident.

October 1, 1:55 p.m. - At 1305 S. Main St.

A 16-year-old, Cashion, driving a 2022 Ford Bronco, was parked partially in a westbound parking space at Dollar General, 1305 S. Main St.

Virgil Quick, 71, Kingfi sher, driving a 2007 Dodge GCV, was parked in an eastbound parking space at Dollar General.

According to the report, the Quick vehicle attempted to back out of the parking space and struck the 16-year-old’s vehicle which was not fully within the parking space.

Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.

No injuries were reported.

October 5, 10:30 a.m. - At 200 W. Starlite Drive.

Chandra Seiger, 35, Hennessey, driving a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer, was parked in a northbound parking space of the Walmart parking lot.

Katrina Homier, 40, Kingfisher, driving a 2007 Chevrolet SC1, was parked in a southbound parking space.

According to the report, the Homier vehicle backed out of the parking space and struck the Seiger vehicle in the rear.

Homier left the scene, but returned when contacted by officers, the report said.

Homier reportedly stated that she was unaware her vehicle had struck the Seiger vehicle, according to the report.

Minor damage was reported to the Homier vehicle and functional damage to the Seiger vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

Sergeant Justin Trumbley investigated the accident.

October 10, 3:15 p.m. - At South 13th Street and West Overstreet Avenue.

Cherie Myers, 66, Kingfi sher, driving a 2022 Jeep, was westbound on West Overstreet Avenue and stopped at the intersection of South 13th Street.

Kaye Mitchell, 87, Kingfi sher, driving a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu, was southbound in the inside lane of South 13th Street.

According to the report, the Myers vehicle attempted to turn left onto South 13th Street and struck the Mitchell vehicle in the driver’s side.

Functional damage was reported to the Myers vehicle and disabling damage to the Mitchell vehicle.

Mitchell sustained non-incapacitating head injuries and was transported by Kingfisher EMS to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher for evaluation and Myers received no reported injuries, according to the report.
