Local traffic accidents

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: March 16, 3:50 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and West Overstreet Avenue.

Virgil Bonham, 63, Kingfi sher, driving a 2020 Buick Enclave, was northbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81.

James Broomfield, 63, Hennessey, driving a 2010 Ford F150, was also northbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81, directly behind the Bonham vehicle.

According to the report, the Bonham vehicle was waiting for traffic to clear in order to make a left turn onto West Overstreet Avenue and was struck in the rear by the Broomfield vehicle.

Functional damage was reported to the Bonham vehicle and disabling damage to the Broomfield vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

Officer Matthew Hollon investigated the accident.

March 19, 1:40 p.m. - U.S. 81 and Will Rogers Drive.

A 15-year-old male, Kingfi sher, driving a 2012 Land Rover, was eastbound on West Will Rogers Drive.

Gregory Uhlenhake, 71, Loyal, driving a 2024 Dodge 3500, was southbound on U.S. 81.

According to the report, the Uhlenhake vehicle failed to yield at the traffic signal at the U.S. 81 and Will Rogers Drive intersection and struck the 15-year-old’s vehicle.

Minor damage was reported to the Uhlenhake vehicle and disabling damage to the 15-year-old’s vehicle.

No injuries were reported.
