Local traffic accidents

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: March 23, 12:03 p.m. At South 11th Street and Zellers Avenue.

A 2011 Chrysler owned by Matthew Walter, Kingfi sher, was parked facing the north along the east side of South 11th Street.

Gabriel Rednose, 26, Kingfisher, driving a 2023 Dodge 1500, attempted to back down South 11th Street onto Zellers Avenue and struck the Walter vehicle, the report said.

Minor damage was reported to the Rednose vehicle and functional damage to the Walter vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

Officer Matthew Hollon investigated the accident.

March 24, 7:05 a.m. - At West Overstreet Avenue and South Eighth Street.

A 2017 Ford Fusion owned by Rylee Snodgrass, Weatherford, was parked on south side of West Overstreet Avenue facing westbound near the intersection of South Eighth Street.

A 17-year-old female, Kingfisher, driving a 1999 Chevrolet SC1, was backing from a private drive on West Overstreet and struck the Snodgrass vehicle.

Minor damage was reported to the 17-year-old’s vehicle and functional damage to the Snodgrass vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

Officer Matthew Hollon investigated the accident.

March 25, 8:07 a.m. - At 1500 S. 13th St.

A 16-year-old male, Piedmont, driving a 2010 Ford, was parked in a parking place in southbound direction in the Kingfisher High School parking lot.

Charlie Johnson, 18, Kingfisher, driving a 2008 Toyota, attempted to proceed between the 16-yearold’s vehicle and another parked vehicle and the passenger side mirror struck the 16-year-old’s driver’s side mirror.

Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.

No injuries were reported.

Sergeant Charles Trout investigated the accident.

April 1, 2:40 p.m. - At 1303 S. Main St.

A 2018 Chevrolet Malibu, owned by Chance Lann, Kingfisher, was parked in a parking space at Jacket Laundry, 1303 S. Main St.

Janice Ort, 70, Okarche, driving a 2005 Buick, was also parked in the parking lot.

According to the report, the Ort vehicle attempted to back out, struck the Lann vehicle and left the scene.

A witness provided identifying information for Ort and the vehicle she was driving, the report said.

Officer Matthew Hollon located the vehicle traveling southbound on South Main Street and initiated a traffic stop.

According to the report, Ort stated she thought she hit a curb before leaving the scene.

Functional damage was reported to both vehicles.

No injuries were reported.

April 3, 2:07 p.m. - At South Mitchell Drive.

Levi Williams, 44, Oklahoma City, driving a 2013 Mack truck, was northbound on South Mitchell Drive.

Gary Fisher, 81, Kingfi sher, driving a 2008 Ford F2S, was westbound on Mitchell Boulevard.

According to the report, the Fisher vehicle failed to yield and proceeded forward, striking the front bumper of the Williams vehicle.

No damage was reported to either vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

Officer Steven Renbarger investigated the accident.

April 12, 9:55 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and Bowman Avenue.

Karl Jones, 67, Hennessey, driving a 2018 Toyota Camry, was northbound on U.S. 81.

Jimmy Barela, 69, Kingfi sher, driving a 2016 Chevrolet 2500, was eastbound on West Bowman Avenue.

According to the report, the Barela vehicle proceeded eastbound onto U.S. 81, failing to yield and was struck by the Jones vehicle.

Disabling damage was reported to both vehicles.

Jones sustained a non incapacitating head injury and was transported by Kingfisher EMS to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher.

Officer Jarred Tech investigated the accident.
