Local traffic accidents
The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: May 28, 4:41 p.m. - At 200 W. Starlite Drive.
Carmelita San Juan, 70, Oklahoma City, driving a 2015 Land Rover, attempted to back out of a parking space at Walmart.
Kathryn Lacy, 56, El Reno, driving a 2016 Nissan Murano, also began to back out of a parking space and struck the San Juan vehicle in the rear.
Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.
No injuries were reported.

June 11, 12:32 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and Sheridan Avenue.
A 16-year-old male, Okeene, driving a 2022 Kia, was southbound on U.S. 81 and departed the roadway to the right, near Sheridan Avenue, running over a speed limit sign and then returned to the roadway, the report said.
Disabling damage was reported to the vehicle.
No injuries were reported.

June 13, 2:24 p.m. - At West Oklahoma Avenue and South Seventh Street.
Emri Victor, 19, Dover, driving a 2005 Jeep Liberty, was northbound on South Seventh Street.
Donna McPherson, 81, Kingfisher, driving a 2005 Chevrolet, was eastbound on Oklahoma Avenue.
The McPherson vehicle failed to yield at the intersection and struck the Victor vehicle, according to the report.
Functional damage was reported to the Victor vehicle and disabling damage to the McPherson vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
Sergeant Charles Trout investigated the accident.
June 14, noon - At S.H. 33 and 13th Street.
Oloyede Akinnawo, 40, Yukon, driving a 2021 Freightliner, was eastbound on S.H. 33.
James Moore, 35, Houston, driving 2019 Chevrolet 1500, was northbound on South 13th Street.
According to the report, the Moore vehicle failed to yield at the intersection and was struck by the Akinnawo vehicle. Minor damage was reported to the Akinnawo vehicle and functional damage to the Moore vehicle.
No injuries were reported.

June 16, 7:19 p.m. - At 100 Mitchell Blvd.
A 17-year-old female, Kingfisher, driving a 2017 Honda Accord, was parked at 100 Mitchell Blvd.
Cynthia Yarbrough, 54, Kingfisher, driving a 2004 Lexus, attempted to back out of a parking space and struck the Carrasco vehicle.
No damage was reported to either vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
Officer Steven Renbarger investigated the accident.
June 18, 5:46 p.m. - At South Seventh Street and Hill Drive.
Janeth Rocha Macias, 26, Kingfisher, driving a 2009 Nissan Altima, was northbound on South Seventh Street.
Deronda Shepard, 82, Kingfisher, driving a 2008 Cadillac DTS, was westbound on Hill Drive.
According to the report, the Shepard vehicle failed to yield and struck the Rocha Macias vehicle.
Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.
No injuries were reported.
