Local traffic accidents
The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:
July 28, 6:54 p.m. - At 200 W. Starlite Drive.
David Simpson, 37, Kingfisher, driving a 2022 Toyota Tundra, was parked in a parking space at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
Aline Jordan Camarena, 19, Kingfisher, driving a 2008 Cadillac, was parked in an adjacent parking space.
Simpson reportedly stated his vehicle had been “dinged” and provided footage from his in-car dash cam. The footage showed a vehicle which appeared to match the Camarena vehicle exiting a parking space next to the Simpson vehicle.
Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel said in his report the location of the mark on the Simpson vehicle appeared to be consistent in location with being struck by the Camarena vehicle.
McDaniel made contact with Camarena and she stated that she was unaware of making contact with the Simpson vehicle.
Minor damage was reported to the Simpson ve-hicle and unknown damage to the Camarena vehicle.
August 5, 1:02 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and Will Rogers Drive.
Kathryn Watt, 69, Watonga, driving a 2019 Dodge GCV, was northbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81 near the intersection of Will Rogers Drive.
Rachel Parker, 58, Kingfi sher, driving a 2016 Mazda CX-5, was exiting the McDonald’s parking lot on the east side.
According to the report, the Parker vehicle attempted to enter the northbound inside lane of U.S. 81 and struck the Watt vehicle in the driver’s side rear quarter.
Functional damage was reported to the Watt vehicle and disabling damage to the Parker vehicle.
No injuries were reported.

August 8, 11:40 a.m. At 102 S. Main St.
Gerald Leverett, 68, Leoti, Kan., driving a 2016 Chevrolet Suburban, was parked in a parking space at Casey’s General Store, 102 S. Main St.
John Reherman, 73, Kingfisher, driving a 2016 Dodge Ram, attempted to pull into a parking space and struck the Leverett vehicle in the rear passenger side.
Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.
No injuries were reported.

August 9, 3:50 p.m. At U.S. 81 and S.H. 33.
Roy Musgrave, 44, Mc-Loud, driving a 2005 Dodge Ram, was southbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81 near the S.H. 33 intersection.
Trinity Doughty, 20, Nash, driving a 2001 Toyota, was in the outside southbound lane of U.S. 81.
According to the report, the Doughty vehicle attempted to merge into the inside lane and struck the Musgrave vehicle in the rear passenger side.
Functional damage was reported to the Doughty vehicle and minor damage to the Musgrave vehicle.
No injuries were reported.

August 13, 4:30 p.m. At U.S. 81 and Overstreet Avenue.
Whitney Johnson, 41, Kingfisher, driving a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee, was northbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81.
Chad Barnett, 44, El Reno, driving a 2007 Hummer H3, was also northbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81 directly behind the Johnson vehicle.
According to the report, the Johnson vehicle was stopped and waiting for traffic to pass while attempting to make a left turn onto Overstreet Avenue when it was struck in the rear by the Barnett vehicle.
Minor damage was reported to the Barnett vehicle and functional damage to the Johnson vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
