The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:

February 18, 7:10 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and Mitchell Drive. Chrystal Testa, 46, Oklahoma City, driving a 2009 Dodge TK pulling a trailer, was southbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81. According to the report, the Testa vehicle began to slide on the icy roadway and crossed over the northbound lanes, jackknifed and departed the roadway on the east side. Minor damage was reported to the vehicle. No injuries were reported. Captain Dustin Brodrick investigated the accident.

February 23, 7:57 p.m. At U.S. 81 and Will Rogers Drive. Dean Johnston, 75, Kingfisher, driving a 2023 Dodge Hornet, was westbound, exiting 1503 S. Main St. Jacob Zummallen, 28, Okarche, driving a 2018 Dodge 2500 pulling a trailer, was southbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81. According to the report, the Johnston vehicle attempted to merge into the southbound lane of U.S. 81, failed to yield and was struck by the Zummallen vehicle. Functional damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Officer Steven Renbarger investigated the accident.

February 24, 5:12 p.m. At 1616 S. Main St. Jacob Young, 25, Yukon, driving a 2007 Dodge Ram, was parked in a parking space at Pizza Hut, 1616 S. Main St. Ayden Smith, 18, Kingfi sher, driving a 2014 Ford Fusion, was parked a parking space behind the Young vehicle. According to the report, the Young vehicle attempted to back out of the parking space and struck the Smith vehicle in the front bumper. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Lieutenant Justin Trumbley investigated the accident.

February 25, 3:37 p.m. At S.H. 33 and 13th Street. A 16-year-old female, Kingfisher, driving a 2014 Jeep Compass, was south- bound on North 13th Street and stopped at the stop sign. Joel Vargas, 29, Hennessey, driving a 2006 Ford F250, was eastbound on S.H. 33. Christopher Gray, 33, Kingfisher, driving a 2022 Dodge Ram, was northbound on South 13th Street and stopped at the stop sign. According to the report, the 16-year-old female attempted to cross S.H. 33 and was struck by the Vargas vehicle, which then caused the 16-year-old’s vehicle to collide with the Gray vehicle. Disabling damage was reported to the 16-year-old’s vehicle and minor damage to the Vargas and Gray vehicles. The 16-year-old sustained possible head and arm injuries. Lieutenant Justin Trumbley investigated the accident.

February 28, 4:08 p.m. At West Bowman Avenue and South Eleventh Street. Maria De La Torre, 52, Kingfisher, driving a 2008 Toyota XSL, was westbound on West Bowman Avenue. Makylah Henton, 32, Kingfisher, driving a 2021 Chrysler Voyager, was northbound on South Eleventh Street. According to the report, the Henton vehicle failed to yield and struck the De La Torre vehicle. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Officer Justin Conner investigated the accident.
