Local traffic accidents

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department: September 21, 7:40 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and Robberts Avenue.

Tana Martin, 26, Weatherford, driving a 2018 Ford Fusion, was in the inside northbound lane of U.S. 81 at the traffic signal of Robberts Avenue.

Riley Anderson, 26, Oktaha, driving a 2018 Dodge, was also in the inside northbound lane of U.S. 81 directly behind the Martin vehicle.

According to the report, the traffic signal changed to green, but the unknown vehicle in front of Martin did not proceed forward and the Anderson vehicle struck the Martin vehicle in the rear.

Minor damage was reported to the Anderson vehicle and functional damage to the Martin vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

Captain Travis Gray investigated the accident.

September 26, 8 a.m. - At Mitchell Drive and Frontage Road.

Clifton Verhines, 93, Kingfisher, driving a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox, was northbound on Frontage Road and stopped at the intersection of Mitchell Drive.

James Stewart, 49, Kingfisher, driving a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado, was southbound on U.S. 81 and attempted to make a right turn onto westbound Mitchell Drive.

According to the report, the Verhines vehicle proceeded northbound and struck the Stewart vehicle.

Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.

No injuries were reported.

Officer Kyle Svoboda investigated the accident.

September 26, 8:30 a.m. At South Eighth Street and West Erwin Avenue.

Jade Nance, 45, Yukon, driving a 2015 Ford F150, was eastbound on West Erwin Avenue and struck a parked 1995 Chevrolet with an attached trailer.

Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.

Nance received non-incapacitating head and trunk injuries according to the report.

Officer Kyle Svoboda investigated the accident.

September 29, 5:48 p.m. - At 200 W. Starlite Drive.

Mayra Sanchez, 28, Hennessey, driving a 2008 Toyota, was westbound in the Walmart parking lot.

Maria Gutierrez, 51, Kingfisher, driving a 2011 Dodge Journey, was southbound in the Walmart parking lot.

According to the report, the Sanchez vehicle struck the Gutierrez vehicle.

Functional damage was reported to both vehicles.

No injuries were reported.
