Local traffic accidents

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:

June 25, 5 p.m. - At North Fifth Street and East Admire Avenue. — Triston White, 19, Freedom, driving a 2007 Honda Civic, was parked in a parking space facing west. Stephanie Brown, 52, Marshall, driving a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder, was parked in a parking space facing east. According to the report, both vehicles began to back out of their respective parking spaces and collided. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Lieutenant Dustin Brodrick investigated the accident.

July 2, 3:15 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and West Chisholm Avenue. — David Sprecher, 62, Kingfisher, driving a 2024 GMC Sierra HD towing a trailer, was southbound on U.S. 81. Kerry Benedict, 38, Hennessey, driving a 2025 Ford F-150, was northbound on U.S. 81. According to the report, both vehicles had come to a stop while waiting for emergency vehicles to pass and when the Sprecher vehicle proceeded the accompanying trailer became detached, crossed the roadway and struck the Benedict vehicle. No damage was reported to the Sprecher vehicle and functional damage to the Benedict vehicle. No injuries were reported. Officer Justin Conner investigated the accident.

July 8, 10:16 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and West Chisholm Avenue. — Christy Martin, 55, Kingfisher, driving a 2010 Ford Fusion, was southbound in the outside lane of U.S. 81. Jennifer Gustafson, 45, Kingfisher, driving a 2020 Ford Explorer, was southbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81. According to the report, the Martin vehicle attempted to merge into the inside lane and struck the Gustafson vehicle. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reportd. Lieutenant Justin Trumbley investigated the accident.

July 8, 4:49 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and West Will Rogers Drive. — Mario Cisneros Fernandez, 66, Kingfisher, driving a 2017 Ford F-250, was northbound in the outside lane of U.S. 81. Sarah Scott, 24, Kingfi sher, driving a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis, was northbound in the outside lane of U.S. 81 directly behind the Fernandez vehicle. Jose Marquez, 23, Kingfi sher, driving a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado, was northbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81. According to the report, the Scott vehicle attempted to change lanes to avoid hitting the Fernandez vehicle as it slowed down and struck both the Fernandez vehicle and the Marquez vehicle. Minor damage was reported to all the vehicles. No injuries were reported. Officer Justin Conner investigated the accident.
