Local traffic accidents

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:

October 1, 8:48 p.m. At U.S. 81 and Sheridan Avenue.

A 16-year-old driver, Okarche, driving a 2012 Ford, was eastbound on Sheridan Avenue and stopped at the intersection of U.S. 81.

Darrel Wood, 67, Kingfi sher, driving a 2018 Chevrolet Suburban, was stopped behind the 16-year-old’s vehicle.

According to the report, the 16-year-old’s vehicle backed into the Wood vehicle.

Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.

No injuries were reported.

Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel investigated the accident.

October 4, 11:15 a.m. At U.S. 81 and East Miles Avenue.

Gary Phillips, 35, Yukon, driving a 2006 Ford, was parked in a northward parking space on East Miles Avenue.

Dorothy Ellington, 82, Enid, driving a 2016 Toyota, was westbound on East Miles Avenue.

According to the report, the Phillips vehicle attempted to back out of the parking space and struck the Ellington vehicle.

Minor damage was reported to the Phillips vehicle and functional damage to the Ellington vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

Officer Dustin Brodrick investigated the accident.

October 8, 7:41 p.m. At U.S. 81 and Will Rogers Drive.

Nathaniel Phillips, 67, Enid, driving a 2003 Cadillac, was northbound in the outside lane of U.S. 81 near the intersection of Will Rogers Drive.

Brittany Bingham, 21, Yukon, driving a 2000 Ford F250, was northbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81.

According to the report, the Bingham vehicle attempted to merge into the outside lane and struck the Phillips vehicle.

Minor damage was reported to the Bingham vehicle and functional damage to the Phillips vehicle.

Possible unknown injuries were reported to two passengers in the Phillips vehicle and transported by Kingfisher EMS to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher for evaluation, the report said.
