The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:

October 2, 2:30 p.m. - At 1205 Hanna Lane. Maria DeLaTorre, 44, Kingfisher, driving a 2011 Toyota, was eastbound on Hanna Lane, departed the roadway and struck a mailbox at 1205 Hanna Lane.

According to the report, DeLaTorre left the scene of the accident and returned approximately one hour later. DeLaTorre was issued citations for leaving the scene of property damage accident and distracted driving, the report said.

Minor damage was reported to the DeLaTorre vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Officer Brandon Chapman investigated the accident.

October 7, 6:55 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and Industrial Boulevard. Gerardo Varela, 39, Oklahoma City, driving a 2007 GMC Sierra, was northbound in the outside lane of U.S. 81.

A deer crossed the roadway and was struck and killed by the Varela vehicle, the report said.

Functional damage was reported to the Varela vehicle. No injuries were reported.
