Local traffic accidents investigated by KPD

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:

April 17, 5:06 p.m. - At 300 block of East Broadway (S.H. 33). — Jesse Vance, 30, Stephens City, Va., driving a 1999 Kenworth semitruck, was eastbound on S.H. 33. According to the report, the semi-truck’s cargo struck the underpass on S.H. 33 resulting in damage to the underpass. Minor damage was reported to the Vance vehicle. No injuries were reported. Officer Justin Conner investigated the accident.

April 17, 3:44 p.m. - At 701 N. Main St. — Willis Adams, 48, Enid, driving a 2023 Ford, was parked in a parking spot at Jacket Corner, 701 N. Main St. Lawrence Schoelen, 73, Kingfisher, driving a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado, was also parked in a parking spot at Jacket Corner. According to the report, the Adams vehicle began backing out and the Schoelen vehicle also began to back out and struck the Adams vehicle in the front bumper. Minor damage was reported to the Adams vehicle and no damage to the Schoelen vehicle. No injuries were reported. Officer Matthew Hollen investigated the accident.

April 18, 1:52 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and S.H. 33. — Tammy Banovac, 66, Hennessey, driving a 2003 Chevrolet, was parked in a parking space along the east curb on U.S. 81. Jason East, 41, Kingfisher, driving a 2022 Dodge 2500 with a trailer attached, was westbound on S.H. 33. According to the report, the East vehicle attempted to turn right onto northbound U.S. 81 and struck the Banovac vehicle. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported. Officer Justin Conner investigated the accident.
