LOMEGA
The Lomega FFA has had an amazing start to the year.
There were various members that participated in local, county, state and national shows with sheep, hogs, cattle, chickens and dairy cattle this last fall.
The Lomega FFA officer team attended the COLT Conference where Kate Myers was selected as a member of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies Team for the North West area.
We had 15 members participate in the Kingfisher Region Contest in Creed, Opening and Closing Ceremonies, 8th Grade Team Creed and Greenhand Quizbowl where Lomega FFA members won every contest.
The Lomega Opening and Closing Ceremonies team then went on to compete at state where it qualified for the finals.
The AFR Speech Contest was held in November with six members competing and three qualifying for the State AFR Contest.
The Lomega FFA had one member represent us at the Oklahoma 4-H and FFA Junior Wheat Show and Banquet.
We were honored to have two American Degree recipients: Whitney Glazier and Tate Ott.
We are especially proud of Whitney Glazier, who was named the 2023 American Star in Agricultural Placement.
We have experienced tremendous support from our community this year at many of our local events like our local shows, the annual member auction, during our Blue and Gold sales and so much more.
We are excited about what the busy spring schedule will bring for our FFA members who are excited to take full advantage of all the opportunities to come.
