Lomega pays tribute to local veterans

By

Lomega Student Council held its annual Veterans Day program on Nov. 11th. Veterans in attendance were served a meal and then an assembly was held in their honor to pay tribute to them for their service to our country. Student Council members presented the colors, recited patriotic readings and presented the meaning behind the “Missing Man Table.” Guest speaker for the assembly was Jason Burch, an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper who is a United States Marine veteran. Burch served from May 1999 until August 2004 and attained the rank of sergeant.
