Man pleads not guilty to solicitation with minor charge
A man arrested after being served a felony warrant by the Kingfisher Police Department and the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation has pleaded not guilty in his first court appearance.
Bryan Tollison, 41, of Kingfisher, entered the plea Wednesday in Kingfisher County District Court.
He was arrested by officers Monday afternoon on a charge of soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor by use of technology.
KPD Sgt. Charles Trout was listed as the arresting officer after multiple weeks of investigation.
Trout is a member of the OSBI’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit, which is comprised of OSBI agents and more than 50 members of local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
The investigation began when the Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office received an internet crimes tip on June 9. The KCSO handed it off to the KPD when it was determined it fell under the latter’s jurisdiction.
The KPD and OSBI served the warrant early Monday afternoon and, after agents interviewed Tollison, they later arrested him.
According to the OSBI, Tollison “engaged in sexual conversations with multiple minors.” Kingfi sher Police Chief David Catron said the alleged interactions were with a cell phone.
Tollison appeared before Associate District Judge Lance Schneiter, who set his bond at $50,000.
As of early Friday morning, Tollison had not posted bail and remained in the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
According to court doc- uments, Tollison was approved for the Oklahoma Indigent Defense System (OIDS) and will be represented by a court-appointed attorney.
His next appearance is slated for 1:30 p.m.Thursday, Aug. 10.
