Kingfisher High School seniors Robert Barnett and Talor Mecklenburg are the December 2024 Junior Lions.

The two were guests at a recent meeting of the Kingfi sher Lions Club.

Barnett is the son of Robert and Amy Barnett.

He’s active in football and wrestling in which he is the captain on both teams, was first team all-district in football and is on the baseball team.

Barnett is also involved in FFA, was a Oklahoma Boys State delegate and attends Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

He plans to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point and pursue a career in aviation.

Mecklenburg is the daughter of Kyle and Melissa Mecklenburg.

She’s active in track in which she was a two-time state qualifier in the 100 meter hurdles, was part of the 2023 Class 4A state champion cheerleading team and is a member of the National Honor Society.

Mecklenburg is also active STUCO and is class secretary and attends Life. Church.

She plans to get a real estate license and attend Oklahoma State University, majoring in interior design.
