Various much-needed road construction projects around the county are causing detour woes for motorists lately.

As Dover-Crescent Road and Beard Road are both out of normal commission, another job is also awaiting completion.

A small bridge replacement on Sheridan Road (CR N297) one mile north of the former Six Mile Bar location on Dover-Crescent Road, began around Feb. 15 with an estimated completion time of 90 days according to Wyatt Contracting of Weatherford.

As with the other area projects, that May 16 date could easily be extended due to delays caused by the also much-needed rain.

Replacement of the bridge, was contracted to Wyatt at a cost of $562,871.28.
